The Best Organic Face Oils

When I first started my green beauty journey, I had an irrational fear of organic face oils.

When I first started my green beauty journey, I had an irrational fear of organic face oils. Like anyone else, I just knew they would break my skin out. After all, everything else did a fine job of giving me acne so why would these be any different? Little did I know that face oils held the EXACT things I needed to clear my skin up, heal acne scars, and achieve hydrated, glowing skin. If I’d known that, I certainly would’ve jumped on the bandwagon to face oil town a LONNNGGG time ago, people!

I previously talked about my favorite face oils for acne prone skin, but it dawned on my that I should probably share my top picks for the best organic face oils for every skin type, whether acne is a concern or not. After all, I’ve tried about a thousand and one face oils. I’ve tried natural ones, organic oils, and the not so natural ones you find from mainstream brands. I’ve tried oils that do nothing at all, oils that made my skin scream and break out in acne and redness from Hell, and I’ve tried some that literally changed my skin FOREVER (in a good way this time!). So, I came up with this list of face oils that I have personally tried and truly love. These are oils that I may have initially received via PR sample (though not all) and then went on to repurchase so keep that in mind 🙂

The Best Organics Face Oils for Every Skin Type

( please note: these are not all the oils; just the ones I currently have on hand! )

These Are Natural Face Oils for Every Skin Type!

Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum; $185

This serum is really an oil masquerading as a serum, if you ask me, but it’s well-loved by me! Expensive as all hell, this serum is totally worth it because it packs a potent dose of the purest, most luxurious, organic plant ingredients around. The formula includes an “infusion of 22 of the world’s most active organic and wild crafted botanicals” that do everything from firm and hydrate skin to soothe inflammation, heal acne, fight the signs of aging, improve cell turnover, strengthen capillaries, prevent free radical damage and premature aging, and deliver more oxygen to skin cells.

It’s all very simple, yet all very high tech and IT FREAKING WORKS. It hurts your wallet – BIG TIME – to purchase this serum, but you won’t regret it!  I’ve seen massive results from this serum including diminishing acne scars, brightening my skin, evening out my skin tone, diminishing fine lines around my eyes, and helping keep my skin hydrated. It’s truly an incredible serum/oil/whatever.

Who will love this serum? People who want a luxurious serum that does it all!

What skin types can use this? All Skin types!

Pure Marula Oil; $78

Pure Marula Oil is truly incredible because it’s SO simple – literally one ingredient! – but it’s SO effective! This company, specifically, puts a TON of thought into their process by helping provide a fair trade opportunity for women in East Africa to earn a consistent income and help support their families. Moreover, the marula oil is 100% sustainable because they protect the marula trees they harvest from. As if that’s not enough, marula oil is also clinically proven to help improve your skin’s elasticity, heal and soothe inflammation (including acne), prevent moisture loss, and much, MUCH more! It’s one of those face oils that will literally work for any skin type, including sensitive and acne prone.

Who will love this oil? People who want something simple, plant-based, cruelty-free, and sustainable, but effective for healing skin!

What skin types can use this? All Skin types, especially sensitive, dry and acne prone!

Trilogy Organic Rosehip Oil; £19.50 (approx. $26)

Trilogy’s Organic Rosehip Oil is an amazing oil that can help all skin types in a number of ways. For me, it helped to diminish acne scarring along my cheeks, diminish minor fine lines, and brighten my skin tone overall. Many celebrities love rosehip oil. Miranda Kerr credits it for her glowing skin while Rose Byrne says it soothes her skin and keeps it clear.

Who will love this oil? Anyone with fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, sensitive, inflamed, or dull skin!

What skin types can use this? All skin types, especially sensitive, dull, uneven, and troubled skin.

Rainwater Skin Repair Serum; $23

Again, this is one of those serums that feels more like an oil than a serum, but totally works! The potent plant ingredients include olive squalane (brilliant for fine lines and healing skin!), potent plant oils such as pumpkin and carrot seed, and a blend of healing essential oils such as helichrysum and chamomile. I love the fact that this oil is both affordable and effective. It’s incredibly soothing, you don’t need a whole lot to feel it’s effects, and it smells AMAZING! I’ve talked about this serum/oil many times so just go read my past reviews. I don’t think Rainwater Botanicals can make a bad product, but maybe that’s just me.

Who will love this oil? Anyone with fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, or dull skin.

What skin types can use this? All skin types, especially dry and mature!

The Best Organics Face Oils for Every Skin Type

Odacité Spring In Tokyo Serum; $175 CAD (approx. $135 USD)

I tried this serum in early spring and it was really wonderful because I needed a bit of a pick-me-up in the transitional weather! This serum smells lovely and has tons of potent plant oils and essences which help to clear acne, heal discoloration, and even skin tone. It’s wonderful for healing acne scars and helping hydrate skin as well. I use this one all the time, especially when I am dealing with breakouts and inflamed skin. It’s brilliant for that!

Who will love this oil? Those with tired, over worked, blemished, clogged, or damaged skin who need extra TLC to bring it back to it’s full health.

What skin types can use this? Acne prone skin, uneven skin, and oily/combination skin that needs balance for oil production.

May Lindstrom Youth Dew Serum; $120

As you may know, I’m a huge fan of May Lindstrom and with GOOD REASON! Not only does she make incredibly effective skincare products, but she has a total heart of gold. Her Youth Dew Serum is one of her lesser known products, but just as wonderful because it helps heal acne prone skin, clear clogged pores, even out skin tone, stimulate collagen production, soften skin, and prevent UV damage from the skin. It was a great oil to use on my acne prone skin, especially during the summer months when I feel that others are usually too heavy for the hot and humid weather.

Who will love this oil? This serum will benefit those with troubled skin the most. This can include, but is not limited to acne, redness, inflammation, imbalanced skin, etc.

What skin types can use this? All skin types, especially acne prone skin!

True Botanicals (Pacific) Renew Face Oil; $110

True Botanicals are in a skincare league of their own, you guys! They utilize potent marine ingredients in their products and never use any fillers like water so you know you’re getting a 100% natural, effective skin treatment. All of their face oils are amazing, but I specifically like the Pacific Face Oil (now called Renew Face Oil) for it’s ability to shrink the appearance of pores and hydrate skin during the winter months without feeling heavy. The oil comes in a base of organic green tea seed oil and has a MASSIVE amount of other potent plant oils to soothe inflammation and redness, heal acne, increase skin hydration, and lend valuable vitamins and antioxidant protection to your skin.

Who will love this oil? This oil is great for any and all skin types. I can’t imagine anyone not liking this face oil, to be honest, because the ingredients are amazing and it just WORKS.

What skin types can use this? All skin types, especially skin dealing with fine lines and dryness.

Odacité Youthful Glow Booster Serum; $67 CAD (approx. $52 USD)

Although a newer discovery, I love this one just the same! The Odacité Youthful Glow Booster Serum is ideal for adding a few drops into your regular night creams or day creams for adding more glow to your skin. The formula includes a concentrated dose of plant oils and essences such as acai berry, a super food plant which boasts the highest antioxidant content in the WORLD (dayum, girl!), and healing rose. Together, they help address skin aging, heal broken capillaries, soften skin texture and even tone, improve firmness and elasticity, and help cell regeneration. I love adding this to my daily night/day creams for that extra oomph! You know what I mean? All I need is 2-3 drops of this and it does the job. You know what they say: good things come in small packages!

Who will love this oil? This serum concentrate is a great addition to your regular moisturizer if you’re looking to amp up your natural glow and brighten your skin up a bit!

What skin types can use this? All skin types dealing with dull, uneven skin tone.

TThey all sound wonderful. The only one I have tried is Organic Rosehip oil, but a different brand. It was god but the oil put permanent stains on my collars. It would be nice to try some of the other oils. Thanks to you for trying them for us

They are all amazing! Definitely my favorites for years 🙂 Sorry about the oil stains you dealt with – that sucks. Maybe try Marula? It’s more of a clear oil and doesn’t stain as far as I can tell. Thanks for stopping by Kathleen!
