Cancer is a cardinal water sign ruled by the moon. 

Needless to say, Cancers are VERY emotionally driven. In fact, they have astounding emotional intelligence and intuition. Many Cancers are certainly known to be deeply intuitive, if not, completely psychic. It’s hard not to completely envy their ability to understand the heart of an issue, then trust their intuition completely without fully knowing all the facts. Many other signs can stand to learn much from them.

Cancers are very loving, courageous, protective, mysterious, compassionate, and healing. Loyal, understanding, trusting, and moody, Cancer deeply value their friendships and relationships.

Of all the signs, water signs are the most emotionally in tune. Certainly, Cancers are the most in tune with their own personal emotions and this can be their greatest strength if they express themselves fully. Because Cancers are so intuitive and understanding, they lack in the communication area. Their biggest challenge may be to speak up and express their thoughts and feelings rather than turning inward.
