Leahlani Skincare Review

The Skincare Routine for Mermaids

When I thought that skincare couldn’t get anymore mystical, Leahlani Skincare came along and changed everything. If, like me, you’re hopelessly obsessed with mermaids and living that ocean life, this skincare brand is for you! As cheesy as that sounds, I’m only half kidding. I’m seriously obsessed with anything beach-related and I love mermaids. I grew up by the beach (and in the city) so I really love the ocean. Can’t you tell from my blog? Anyway, so it’s really no surprise I’m blogging about this. You should’ve seen it coming 😛

The Leahlani Skincare Story

Leah’s skincare journey began with a bout of cystic acne. This led her to esthetician school where she studied holistic based practices and began formulating her own skincare products to heal her skin. Possessed by a love of skincare and a determination to help others fall in love with their own skincare ritual, she turned to sharing her skincare products with others and thus began Leahlani Skincare. In her words: “The intention that I put into my line is that you will truly fall in love with your skincare ritual, that you begin and end your day with a little aloha and the best of intentions.” Isn’t that beautiful?!

Well, her intentions couldn’t be more pure and wonderful because these products are as pure as they are natural and they legitimately work. They’re all wonderfully formulated with ingredients that almost seem like no-brainers. Raw honey? Of course. Sea buckthorn? Obvs. Hawaiian spirulina? Makes sense. You won’t find any super complicated ingredients in this line of skincare products, but you will find results for sure. From the first use, my skin has seriously loved these products and it’s on a level I’d compare with more expensive options, but for a fraction of those steep prices!

Mermaid Face Mask

This mask smells SO delicious! I can’t describe it, really, but it’s sweet and a little floral; not at all overpowering. It goes on like sticky green goo, but literally makes my skin so soft! It helps clear breakouts, calm irritations and redness, and helps your serums work more efficiently. I can’t say enough good things about this. Oh! It also makes you look like a seaweed siren if you happen to have green hair (like me in the photo LOL).

Ingredients: Hawaiian raw honey, Hawaiian spirulina, Chlorella, sea buckthorn, luminess algae and 15 botanicals

Honey Love Microdermabrasion 3-in-1 Mask, Cleanser and Exfoliator

This is one product I honestly thought I wouldn’t like, but ended up loving so much! It’s a super gentle scrub that uses honey, flower powders, and a variety of essential oils to cleanse, gentle exfoliate, and even out skin tone. The result is smoother, softer, and clearer complexions. I thought this product would be just like every other honey mask I’ve ever tried, but no! It’s literally amazing. It’s great to use when my skin feels congested or just dull and gross from the heat. This is the perfect way to refresh my skin and bring back the summer glow 🙂

Ingredients: A blend of essential oils, vitamin C & E, organic flower powders and 100% raw and organic hawaiian honey made from Hawaiian Island bees.

Champagne Serum

Last, but certainly not least, is the Champagne Serum. It smells amazing and is so gently hydrating! I really don’t know how else to describe it. The oils are so nourishing, but so incredibly light on the skin. They absorb quickly and the serum even works really well as a primer for foundation.

There are quite a bit of wonderful tea ingredients included in the formula which is amazing for puffy eyes in the morning and it’s also brilliant for use after being in the sun for a few hours. I can feel it healing and calming any redness so it’s a winner in my book!

Ingredients: Organic grapeseed, organic jojoba oil, organic rosehip oil, Vitamin C & E, Leahlani balancing essential oil blend, antioxidant cocktail (ginkgo boloba, olive leaf extract, rooibos leaf, white tea, green tea) rose water, rosemary antioxidant, LOVE

Overall, I am obsessed with this skincare line! Not only are all the products super gentle, but they’re incredibly effective and they all use natural ingredients. On top of that, they all smell SO GOOD. Seriously, they all smells absolutely incredible. The results and the smell will keep me purchasing these wonderful skincare beauties over and over again. Really, I have nothing but good things to say about these wonderful products so power on lovelies and pick these up ASAP!

This line is lovely and surprisingly affordable for all it offers. Also, everything smells like honey – like you could eat it haha. And they work wonderfully despite my initial skepticism 😛 thanks for visiting Alex!
