Since it is finally the new year, I thought I would share a few natural beauty resolutions that I think you should make in 2017. Whether it’s switching to more natural skincare and makeup products or simply drinking more water each day, these will definitely make a big difference in how you look AND how you feel.
Natural Beauty Resolutions You Need to Make in 2017!
Switch Skincare to Natural Products
One of the best beauty resolutions you could make for yourself in the coming year? Finally commit to using more natural skincare options! There are LITERALLY thousands of options to choose from. I promise there’s something out there for you that will actually work for your skin withOUT harming the environment, animals, or your body.
Convert Your Makeup Bag to 100% Natural Cosmetics
The next step is to convert your makeup back to 100% natural cosmetics. And guess what? It’s going to be EASY! I already shared how to clean up your beauty routine (the easy way!) so just follow the steps and you’ll be fine. It will be affordable, relaxing, and enjoyable, even!
Drink More Water, Eat More Greens, and Get 7 Hours of Sleep.
For some, this resolution may seem like I’m asking for a miracle (I’m looking at you, moms!), but I’m asking for you to indulge me anyway. Water is in EVERY cell in our body. Greens pack a punch where vitamins and fiber are concerned. Sleep is a powerful force that can rejuvenate our body or even sabotage it’s natural process if you don’t get enough of it! So, get that reusable water bottle and USE IT. Consume more hydrating foods. Eat a salad or a portion of green each day (or at every meal, if you can swing it). And get some shut eye. Your body will thank you, you’ll have more energy to live fully and be present, AND you will look younger.
Move Your Body 30 Minutes Each Day.
Besides fueling your body with the best foods for health (and youth), you need to MOVE your body. Exercise helps reverse aging, keeps your cells vibrating along happily, and relieves stress. I’m not asking you to run a marathon or kill yourself at spin, but for God’s sake, DO SOMETHING. Walk a mile a day, even if it’s on the treadmill or around the block with your kids in tow. Try a fitness challenge, a TV show workout, or a 10 minute yoga routine in the morning (or before bed). Every little bit makes a difference in your health.
Vow to Chill the F*ck Out.
I know it’s easier said than done, but I’m not kidding when I say that STRESS CAN KILL YOU. It’s so important to take time out for yourself to relax. Whether that’s meditation, yoga, a power nap, or reading a nice book, you need to find ways to relieve stress.
