Winter Beauty Discoveries I've been loving lately!

Winter Beauty Discoveries 2017

It’s been a long season and I thought I would share some of my latest winter beauty discoveries with you all! I did a ton of other fall, winter, and holiday posts so I know it’s high time I shared what I’ve been loving lately. I hope you enjoy and make some new discoveries of your own!

Wild Medicine Natural Soaps

I have been LOVING these amazing natural handmade soaps from Wild Medicine. They’re so unique because they include all natural ingredients. Their scents are formulated to soothe the mind, increase focus, and even calm anxiety and stress. The 2 soaps I’ve been testing out include the Blood Stone (Orange Cinnamon scent is AMAZING!), and Calcite (Calendula and Eucalyptus is so relaxing). Both are amazing in totally different ways. They include their namesake’s corresponding stone within so when you finish the soap, you’ll have the stone to keep!

Terra and Co Charcoal Toothpaste

Terra and Co. Charcoal Toothpaste

This awesome charcoal toothpaste from Terra and Co. is naturally formulated withOUT SLS, fluoride, peroxide or triclosan. They utilize activated charcoal to cleanse, polish, and whiten teeth naturally. The formula also includes coconut oil, peppermint, and tea tree which kill harmful bacteria, soothe and heal cavities.  I am seriously loving this toothpaste and the charcoal-infused toothbrush!

The only thing I don’t love about this brand is that they utilize plastic instead of aluminum and bamboo. If they were a little more eco friendly, I’d be 100% sold on this one!

Deborah Organics

Deborah Organics Natural Clay Toothpaste

I really love this indie shop, Deborah Organics, on etsy! Her clay toothpaste is incredible! Naturally formulated and full of teeth and gum-loving minerals, this clay toothpaste is great for healing inflamed gums, soothe tooth pain, and re-mineralize teeth. It’s a very gentle toothpaste to use with no discernible flavor (maybe slightly mint). Her other lovely products include a Face Minerals Moisturizer for healing acne prone skin and a lovely body butter perfect for hydrating dry skin!

Antonin B. Hair Serum

Antonin B. Hair Serum

This unique hair serum from Antonin B. is carefully crafted with natural and organic plant ceramides to strengthen, smooth, heal and hydrate your hair. With a blend of 10 organic plant oils, this light hair oil treatment is rich in omega fatty acids, lightweight, and easily absorbed. It has an amazing herbal scent, doesn’t weight my hair down, and definitely helps with smoothing frizz and split ends! As a deep hair oil treatment, if you have time to leave it in for 30 minutes to an hour, it is freaking brilliant. It makes a big difference to the volume, shine and bounce of my hair when I use it as a deep treatment.

Odacite Synergie [4] Immediate Skin Perfecting Masque

Odacité Synergie [4] Immediate Skin Perfecting Masque

The Synergie [4] Immediate Skin Perfecting Masque is SO versatile! This powder face mask includes natural clay to detoxify skin. It also has papaya to brighten and even skin tone. Natural probiotics work to heal dry patches, redness and acne. The unique blend can be customized to your skincare needs. Mix it with water for a skin detox. You can mix with honey for a gentle skin cleanse. You can also mix it with yogurt for a healing and hydrating skin treatment. Blended papaya or fruit acids will turn this mask into a treatment peel. Or, you could mix in some fruit juice for skin brightening. It’s genius and it works so well! If you want a mask that can be used for a variety of concerns, this is it.

One Love Organics Gardenia + Tea Body Serum

This amazing antioxidant body serum is wonderful for hydrating, soothing, and protecting your body skin from the winter elements. One Love Organics make incredible skincare products and this is just another example of their prowess. Pumpkin seed oil, sea buckthorn, chia, rooibos tea, and Antileukine 6 lightly hydrate skin right out of the shower. I personally love using this only right out of the shower because it absorbs best if your skin is a bit damp ( refusing to use the word “moist” here). The other aspect I love about this serum is the scent. It reminds me of the classic sunscreen scent of my childhood, but within a non-toxic formula. I can definitely see myself using this through spring and summer because of the scent!

MAHALO Vitality Elixir Serum

MAHALO Vitality Elixir

Okay, you guys… You KNOW I’m obsessed with MAHALO Skincare. And it’s for a damn good reason! Their Vitality Elixir is one of the few items that I hadn’t yet tried from their lineup and so I finally did. Guess what? IT’S DOPE JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE THEY MAKE! Okay, sorry to yell cap text at you, but IT IS! The scent is amazing. It’s thick and hydrating and genius for this harsh winter weather. An amazing serum, this beauty has helped my skin stay soft, hydrated, and glowing. Moreover, it’s wonderful to mix with the Hynt Beauty Duet Perfecting Concealer or Gressa Foundation. It thins out the formulas, allowing them to apply smoothly to my skin with a beautiful dewy finish. As far as winter beauty discoveries go, this one is definitely at the top of my list!

Jane Iredale Makeup

Jane Iredale Smoke Gets In Your Eyes Palette, Eyeliner, Eye Shere + 5K Gold Shimmer Dust

Let’s get one thing straight: Jane Iredale cosmetics are on another level. I’ve not tried one thing that I didn’t really enjoy and they’ve gotten better over time. Their Smokes Gets In Your Eyes Palette is wonderful. I use it all the time for everyday makeup looks and lovely smoky eye looks as well. The Brown Silk Eye Shere is gorgeous on it’s own or as a base underneath bronze smoky eye makeup. It’s liquid, but dries down to a silky powder. Jane Iredale’s eyeliner pencils are just creamy enough, but won’t bleed or smudge (at least not for the first 4 hours). The 24-Karat Gold Dust gives a party edge to any eye makeup look and makes any makeup look prettier.

FUR Stubble Cream

Fur Stubble Cream

FUR Stubble Cream is a unique product that I never thought I’d find useful. The blend of natural plant oils include safflower and tea tree and work to soften feminine lady part hairs and prevent ingrown hairs. It feels wonderfully cool when applied so it’s amazing for use on razor burn or after a wax as well. Who knew I’d love it so much?

Ginger Tonic Botanicals Natural Teas

Ginger Tonic Botanicals Natural Wellness Teas

I’ve been obsessed with these awesome natural wellness teas from Ginger Tonic Botanicals! Hand crafted by the founder, Lindsay, these lovely teas can help improve focus, help you drift off to sleep, give you a host of vitamins and minerals each day, warm you up, and even soothe an upset stomach. They’re loose, natural teas so you’ll need a strainer of some kind, but the benefits are well worth it, IMO. I know these are not technically winter beauty discoveries, but I’m loving them nonetheless!

Honua Aloha Youth Serum

Honua Aloha Youth Serum

The Aloha Youth Serum from Honua Skincare is the perfect face serum to use if you want more skin hydration, but don’t like face oils. Deeply nourishing, the Aloha Youth Serum smells lovely and includes a blend of Hawaiian botanicals to firm, hydrate, heal, and soothe your skin. Among the hero ingredients are aloalo & ‘awa, comfrey, olena oil, noni, aila kuku, and kamani oils.

it’s an awesome toothpaste! It takes some getting used to because it doesn’t have a strong minty flavor and the texture is a bit weird, but totally awesome 🙂 thanks for visiting me, Nicole! xx
