3 Easy Ways to Reinvent Yourself this Spring

easy ways to reinvent yourself for spring 2016

Whenever spring hits, I’m always overcome by a desire for change in it’s many forms. Whether it’s a new haircut and color, fresh makeup and nails, a new workout plan, or some new clothes, I always feel a sense of rejuvenation happen when I shake the dust off from the past few seasons. I’m sure I’m not alone in this so I thought I would share some fun, easy ways to reinvent yourself this spring that are easy to achieve with a little inspiration and creativity.

3 Easy Ways to Reinvent Yourself this Spring

Easy Ways to Reinvent Yourself this Spring - spring makeup

Makeup has always been one of my favorite forms of self-expression. Not just because I can play with all different colors and textures, but also because I feel like I can play out whatever characters and personas are playing in my mind on a given day. Makeup is such a fun, creative outlet for me and I think a lot of people forget that it can and should be fun. We get so caught up in contouring or what’s “flattering” for our skin tone or face shape that we unknowingly stick ourselves inside a box and never try anything outside the safe zone. So, if you find yourself stuffed into a box this spring, I implore you to play with bold and bright natural lip colors, new makeup textures, fun makeup trends, and just try something new. You may surprise yourself and find you like something that’s not your “typical” style.

Easy Ways to Reinvent Yourself for Spring - Colorful Hair

Another fun way to reinvent yourself for spring is by getting a new haircut or hair color. Colorful ombre hair, crazy brights, or even just some funky highlights can do wonders for your entire look. I always say I’m going to get a funky haircut and then I find myself chickening out in recent years when it comes down to actually doing it. While I did have teal hair last year (which then turned into a horrible green color), I didn’t get the haircut I wanted and the color I went with was a lot more tame than what I actually wanted which was lilac. Well, not this year people! This year, I am finally taking the plunge and dying my hair a crazy hair color – either fuchsia, lilac or purple. Stay tuned on instagram to see which one I go with 😛 Hair is a great way to renew your soul, in my opinion, and it’s one of the few areas I just can’t give up for the sake of green beauty #sorrynotsorry.

easy ways to reinvent yourself this spring - style

The last area you can revitalize for spring your sense of style. This can easily be done by picking up some cool new clothing items, trying a spring fashion trend or adding some trending pantone colors to your wardrobe.  You can try a new cut or style that you think you can’t “pull off” and do it anyway. Life is about living and I think we can all do with taking a little more risks, no?

Well I just cut my hair super short and edgy so I feel pretty reinvented! I also died my sister’s hair purple in the ends and we will be experimenting soon with aqua and pink! My mom also changed to a redhead! So a lot of hair innovations here. Can’t wait to see your new hair!

My renovation isn’t so physical, but I’m simplifying my life this spring. Capsule wardrobe, planned meals, downsizing oour home. It’s all about less is more.

definitely! I love minimalism. I cleaned out my closet in early spring and now I’m focusing on fitness 🙂

i recently got hair extensions put in which definitely changed things up for me. we are also moving and its going to be much hotter there so i have an excuse to change up the wardrobe as well. makeup is the one where i never follow the trends

    1. May 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM

that’s fun! I love the idea of extensions, but they really intimidate me lol. wardrobe refreshes are so fun and makeup is fun – no need to follow trends IMO! 😀 hope your move goes smoothly!
