MAHALO Red My Lips Tint - The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

I love wearing all the best natural lip colors for spring because the looks are tons of fun. It’s not super cold anymore, but you can still wear deep, rich lip colors and equal amounts of pretty pinks, rose, and coral. It’s a great time to wear any number of lipsticks and tinted balms that you like, actually, and you can get away with all kinds of pretty colors across the spectrum. I’m super excited about the spring lip trends for 2016, in particular, because they definitely show tons of pretty lip colors that are both subtle and bold and I think there’s something to suit everyone’s style and taste.

The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

Gorgeous bright reds are so big for spring. I keep seeing apple reds and orange-red lip colors everywhere and it’s such a pretty look for spring. I think it’s such a great way to brighten up your face any time!

ILIA Linger Lipstick - The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

Mocha and brown colors are pretty and such exotic looking colors for spring. It’s clear that the 90’s are back in if brown lips are making a comeback. I prefer the more bronze-brown colors so that’s why I included Linger. It’s much more bronze looking, but that’s just my taste. If you want a more true mocha, you can easily mix Julep Oh La La with a light taupe or brown eye shadow and you’ll get those results.

Lilac Grey Lips - The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

Lilac grey lips are everywhere since this past fall and winter and I guess they’re here to stay for awhile! Modernized 70’s and 90’s fashion looks go well with this gothic pastel color and it’s a fun way to be bold in a less obvious kind of way. I really like how unexpected it is.

Try this → Julep Matte Lip Mousse in Oh La La mixed with Kjaer Weis Eye Shadow in Wisdom

Peachy Coral Lips - The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

Of course, peachy coral lips are in for spring! The most quintessentially perfect spring lip color, in my opinion. It’s a less bold way to brighten up makeup looks and make your lips look fresh and pretty.

Lily Lolo Lipstick in Love Affair - The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

Pale rose is a gorgeous lip color for romantic spring makeup looks, especially if you’re going for bright blush or more neutral eyes and muted tones. It’s just so lovely and will go perfectly with the modern Victorian trend for spring ♥

Navy Lips - The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

I don’t know why I really like navy and purple lips right now. I know it’s not, technically, appropriate for spring, but I am seeing funky lip colors on the runway this spring so I’m just gonna run with it. Funky colors are in; do what you like 😉

Try this → Alima Pure Eye Shadow in Navy mixed with your favorite lip balm. I used Rooted Beauty Lip Balm.

Studio78 Paris Liquid Lipstick in Velvet Wedding - The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

And, of course, deep berry lips are perfect for early spring makeup looks and the deep berry lip is a great way to transition day makeup to night.

Wow what a great collection of lip colors! I’ve been seeing the lilac grey around a lot lately, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to pull it off but I might have to try it 🙂 I’m always a big fan of coral peach. Stopping by from the Thursday fashion files!

Loved these suggestions! I really liked the ilia Linger lipstick but I do not like the scent of ilia’s lippies… They also expire pretty quickly — I know we shouldn’t keep lip products past their expiry date but the ilia lippies I had started to smell even before they expired. Bummer. Anyway, do you wear the Jane Iredale Forever Peach often? I like the idea of lippies that adjust according to your body temp, so cool! I used to always use lip balms like that way back in the day. xo

    1. May 10, 2016 at 2:43 PM

thanks so much Ru! Yeah I love the shade of it. ILIA does expire pretty quickly which is kind of a bummer. I haven’t had any issues with them smelling, but that sucks you experienced that. I hate when things expire before I can use them up! such a freaking bust! I wear the JI Forever Peach all the damn time! It’s one of those lip colors you can wear anywhere on any time of day. Also, I love that it’s kind of glossy/balmy so when applied, it hydrates any dryness and it doesn’t accentuate or make my lips look dry. It also kind of has a plumping effect since it’s glossy (superficial not a treatment lol). It’s brilliant. Yeah, I’m more of a neutral lips/ lip balm person when it comes to my work week. I save bold lips for the weekend so the subtle colors in this post are definitely my go-to for everyday lip colors and they’re all incredibly easy to wear. thanks for visiting!
