The Best Natural Beauty Products to Buy at Ulta, Sephora, and Target

I’m always being contacted by readers who continuously complain about the lack of readily available options they can purchase in stores. While I know that there are many awesome natural and organic brands that are only available online, there are TONS of amazing natural beauty products you can easily purchase at a store near you. My favorite shops to get easily accessible natural beauty products are Ulta, Sephora and Target so I thought I would share my top green beauty picks from each one.

The Best Natural Beauty Products to Buy at Ulta Beauty

Ulta is a great place to shop for natural beauty, but it’s a bit tough to sift through all the not-so-natural brands to get to brands that actually qualify as natural so I’ve tried to rate these from 1-10, where 1 is not natural at all and 10 is as natural as you can get (or at least comparable to other green brands). Please remember this is all in my opinion and I’ve included somewhat natural brands here just for the sake of giving you guys options, but keep in mind that some green beauty “purists” would consider them green-washers.

My Top Picks:

Natural Beauty Brands You Can Find At Ulta:

  • Pacifica Beauty // Rating: 9
  • Juice Beauty // Rating: 10
  • Zoya Nail Polish // Rating: 9
  • Ginger+Liz Nail Polish // Rating: 8
  • Butter London // Rating: 8
  • COOLA Sun Care // Rating: 8
  • EcoTools // Rating: 8
  • Honeybee Gardens // Rating: 9
  • Nvey Eco Cosmetics // Rating: 8
  • Tarte Cosmetics // Rating: 7
  • John Masters Organics // Rating: 9
  • Burt’s Bees // Rating: 7

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

The Best Natural Beauty Products to Buy at Sephora

Sephora has really upped their game this year with what they offer in terms of green beauty! They carry a TON of natural beauty brands now that even the purest of green beauties would approve of including RMS Beauty, Tata Harper, Tatcha, and Herbivore Botanicals. It seems like, every year, they add more and more so that’s fantastic to see happening.

My Top Picks:

Natural Beauty Brands You Can Find At Sephora:

  • RMS Beauty // Rating: 10
  • Tatcha  // Rating: 9
  • Tata Harper // Rating: 10
  • EcoBrow // Rating: 7
  • Tarte Cosmetics // Rating: 7
  • Herbivore Botanicals // Rating: 9
  • Drunk Elephant // Rating: 8
  • Fresh Skincare // Rating: 7
  • Kari Gran // Rating: 10

  • Korres // Rating: 6

Pacifica Underarm Deodorant Wipes

The Best Natural Beauty Products to Buy at Target

Target is one of the first major retailers to take on green beauty products that are more on the affordable side of things so if you’re on a budget, Target is a great place to start! I love that they’re carrying more accessible products and, honestly, they’re just as good as the luxurious ones, but their packaging isn’t as fancy. Who cares? A good product is a good product, I say, and these are pretty awesome and very affordable which I love!

My Top Picks:

Natural Beauty Brands You Can Find At Target:

  • W3ll People // Rating: 9
  • S.W. Basics // Rating: 10
  • Vapour Organic Beauty // Rating: 10
  • Pacifica // Rating: 9
  • Burt’s Bees // Rating: 7
  • Acure Organics // Rating: 9
  • Bare Republic // Rating: 10
  • Weleda // Rating: 9

I didn’t list ALL the natural brands you can find at these stores, but I listed the ones I’ve personally tried and liked. There are several others I missed, I’m sure, but since I haven’t personally tried them, I can’t vouch for their performance, ingredients, etc. I hope you guys find this helpful and let me know if you want more posts like this. If you think I missed anything or you still have questions, please leave them in the comments below and I’ll be happy to help you out 🙂

I’ve heard awesome things about Juice Beauty! I’m definitely going to have to go check these brands out! <3

JB is such a wonderful brand! Their products are fairly affordable, but they still work really well and have super clean ingredients. They were one of the very first green brands I ever tried and they were so new back then that I could only find a few reviews on them. It’s crazy how much they’ve gained popularity, but I totally get it because they are awesome. Definitely love their acne products and serums! hope you try them out and love them too ♥

Love your picks and your rating system! I do wish that my Target carried Vapour, but at least we finally got S.W. Basics! I’d probably add Andalou Naturals to the Target list, but I know some people don’t find them to be completely green though they are green/clean enough for me. 🙂 It is exciting to see more and more cleaner options popping up in some of the big chain stores. 🙂 xx

Thanks Sabrina! I’m glad you like it. I just wanted to give people options and show them that it’s totally possible to find natural options at the stores they enjoy shopping at. I’m glad you’re getting more options near you as well! I know a lot of people either love/hate Andalou Naturals, but as I haven’t personally tried them myself, I didn’t want to include them on the list. That’s really the only reason I didn’t include them. I’m not a super fascist level green beauty purist lol, but I like to only recommend things I’ve personally tried for the most part 😛 thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts! ♥

You should definitely check them out! 🙂 Their 1000 Roses collection is really nice and I’ve heard great things about some of their cleansers too. “Super fascist level green beauty purist” – I love it! lol

haha thanks for sharing that Sabrina and glad to make you laugh! Seriously, though, some people in the green community are such buzzkills lol. And yes, I will have to try them out 🙂

I have been breaking out like a teenager again! AGH! I’m totally trying that juice beauty serum! Hopefully that will help!

    1. May 17, 2016 at 10:45 AM

that’s such a bust! Hope the blemish serum helps you out! it definitely helped me out many years ago when acne was a constant struggle. I also did a post about products I specifically use for acne if you’re curious >

that’s awesome Emmy! You can definitely do that with these nail brands. Zoya, Ginger+Liz, and even Pacifica now carry nail polishes! My personal favorites are online-only ones like Kure Bazaar, Treat Collection, Karma Organic Spa, and Habit Cosmetics, but those are awesome as well. thanks for stopping by!

  5. May 17, 2016 at 9:19 AM

This is a must-pin post! Love how you rounded up the brands with the rating. I am not 100% natural beauty, but I definitely am more aware of it than I used to be and try to find things that work just as well but are more natural… especially in my nail polishes lately, I dunno why! Zoya is taking over my collection. Anyways – thanks for putting this together 🙂

    1. May 17, 2016 at 10:48 AM

thanks Steffanie! I’m glad you think so! I know most people are not 100% natural beauty and that’s okay. Not everyone wants to be and that’s their right. I try not to be a zealot about my love for green beauty LOL. But I hope by recommending good brands you guys can discover more products to love 🙂 I love Zoya too! Other good ones are Kure Bazaar, Habit Cosmetics, and Treat Collection. Also, Karma Organic Spa has a great color selection and Pacifica has some gorgeous colors too! thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts ♥

  6. May 17, 2016 at 9:28 AM

Thanks for sharing, I’m absolutely one of these readers haha

    1. May 17, 2016 at 10:49 AM

haha I know, but I know you’re not alone in that! I’m just trying to give people more options to what’s local and easy. I can understand why people find green beauty inconvenient and don’t seek it out because of that. I’m happy it’s becoming more available in different stores for people who like to shop conveniently. hope you get some of these options soon as well ♥ Wish I knew more about Canada to help you!

  7. May 17, 2016 at 11:14 AM

Great picks and I love that you rated them too! I’m trying to incorporate more natural products into my beauty routine.
