A Different Kind of Coconut Oil: Cocovit Review

A Different Kind of Coconut Oil

Cocovit Coconut Oil is not your average run-of-the-mill coconut oil. Created as a way to help anyone who wants an all-in-one beauty and health solution to their problems, Cocovit is the most raw and pure coconut oil you’ll find anywhere. Cocovit owns the coconut farm in South India where they employ 30+ locals to help harvest the organic coconuts. All coconuts are fresh, hand-picked, and a special extraction process is then employed. The extraction process does not use heat, bleaches, solvents or deodorizers like many common coconut oils might employ. Instead, their extraction method allows the coconut oil to retain it’s raw freshness state and doesn’t destroy any of the valuable enzymes and nutrients which make coconut oil so beneficial for us in the first place. It also helps retain a higher concentration of lauric acid, a naturally occurring ingredient which does wonders for hair, skin and nails.

Helpful facts about Cocovit straight from the website: “Cocovit products are made of 100% certified organic, virgin coconut oil harvested in South India. Our first product is Cocovit Coconut Oil, the first multi-purpose beauty, skin and healthcare product which is antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, paraben-, GMO- and chemical-free and, has no preservative or added ingredients. Cocovit Coconut Oil is USDA Organic and Fair Trade USA certified.”

Cocovit Review

The first thing I noticed about this coconut oil is that it’s incredibly smooth and surprisingly light for any coconut oil I’ve ever used. While I love coconut oil as a cooking ingredient, I don’t typically use it on my skin as it’s broken my skin out and clogged my pores in the past. This coconut oil does not do that! Instead, it’s absorbed into skin incredibly fast, it smells subtly nutty and earthy, and can be used in a number of ways. You can use it as an all over face and body moisturizer. You can add a small amount to your face cream for added hydration, smooth frizz on your hair, hydrate nails and heal cuticles, and even use as a cleansing balm. I’ve mainly used it as a cleansing balm and makeup remover, but I’ve also found myself using this straight out of the shower on days that I’ve dry brushed because my skin tends to be a little tender and needs extra love and care. This is just the thing to use on those days because it’s not complicated and is incredibly soothing and hydrating to my skin. It hasn’t clogged my pores or caused any breakouts and I’ve been using it for several weeks now. I don’t know what else to say except that I’ll definitely be repurchasing!

Ingredients: 100% Raw Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*. *Certified USDA Organic

I’ve heard great things about using coconut oil as a beauty product but I’ve never tried it before. You’ve given some great tips here. Thanks! And thanks for linking-up with Carrie, Casey and me!

Coconut oil is amazing when it’s of good quality like this one. I can’t recommend it enough if you’re someone who likes having balms and oils around for multiple uses. I use mine on my body, hair, face, feet, hands, my dog’s paws lol. It’s so useful and effective!

This is a great coconut oil – very high quality and the extraction process sets it apart from the run of the mill brands. Definitely worth looking into! Thanks for stopping by Jill ♥
