Goodbeing Box Review ♥ January

I recently became a brand ambassador for Goodbeing, a natural beauty subscription box service formerly known as Goodebox. If you’ve been hanging around here since I started blogging – THANK YOU! – then you may know I’m a huge fan of Goodebox. I used to purchase these boxes with my own money, but now I’m lucky enough to be sent these boxes for review – I’m really coming up in the world, right? 😀 I’m kidding, but seriously so grateful for this opportunity to share the one subscription box service that I actually like. If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you’ll know I’m not really into the whole subscription box thing. That’s because, in my experience with them, I’ve found that they have tons of filler and very little value. I’ve found that Goodebox AKA Goodbeing is one of the very few boxes out there that has a ton of good value for the price and no filler so that’s why I decided to become a brand ambassador.

I started the brand ambassador program this month so January is my first month, but you will be seeing these once a month most likely so I hope you enjoy this new feature so you can see the kinds of awesome things these boxes offer in their subscription service. This month’s box really surpassed my expectations because everything was either deluxe travel size or full size product and I LOVE everything I received. Not only that, but the value of each box, when calculated, almost always goes way over the $21 (per box) that this will cost you monthly. Even cheaper if you opt for a more long-term subscription as they give discounts. You can’t beat it.

Balanced Guru was the main brand featured in this month’s box and we received 3 products from their line – a creamy Face It Lightly Facial Cleanser, Tone It Lightly Facial Toner, and a wonderful Nourish Me Frowns to Smiles Face Serum! The facial cleanser and toner are aimed toward oily/congested skin types, but I personally think that any skin type could use these. The facial cleanser is surprisingly hydrating, softening, and gentle and both the cleanser and toner smell incredible. The facial cleanser has notes of tea tree and thyme while the facial toner has more citrus notes like lemon verbena and german chamomile which really stood out to me. The Nourish Me face oil includes some really interesting ingredients! Aside from your usual blend of plant oils and extracts, it also includes goji berry and encapsulated shiitake mushroom which are meant to help slow down the aging process and I found both incredibly unique qualities in this serum. Mushroom isn’t something you normally see in a serum or oil. This oil is incredibly light, smells lovely, and is deeply softening, hydrating and nourishing to skin without feeling heavy or like “too much.” You only need a few drops to get the benefits of it and it can be used alone or mixed with your regular night moisturizer. The cleanser and toner are in massive travel sizes while the face oil came in full size. All of these are certified USDA organic, leaping bunny cruelty-free, eco-friendly and sustainable, recyclable, and the products include 100% biodegradable product formulas and labels.

Face It Lightly Facial Cleanser Ingredients ($10 Value) –  Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice*, Sucrose Cocoate*, Alcohol Denat*, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein*, Xanthan Gum, Cymbopogan Flexuosus (Lemongrass) Oil*, Flavor, Aloysia Triphylla Leaf (Lemon Verbena) Hydrosol*, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract*, Citrus Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Peel Oil*, Aqua (Water), Cymbopogon Martinii (Palmarosa) Grass Oil*, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil*, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Oil*, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Oil*, Arnica Montana (Arnica) Flower Extract*, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract*, Matricaria Recutita (German Chamomile) Flower Oil*, Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E).

*Certified Organic Ingredients.

Tone It Lightly Facial Toner Ingredients ($9 Value) – Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice*, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract*, Alcohol Denat*, Aloysia Triphylla Leaf (Lemon Verbena) Hydrosol*, Cymbopogan Flexuosus (Lemongrass) Oil*, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract*, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil*, Aqua (Water), Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Oil*, Cymbopogon Martinii (Palmarosa) Grass Oil*, Citrus Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Peel Oil*, Arnica Montana (Arnica) Flower Extract*, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract*, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Oil*, Matricaria Recutita (German Chamomile) Flower Oil*.

*Certified Organic Ingredients.

Nourish Me Frowns to Smiles Face Serum Ingredients ($22.99 Value) – Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil*, Rosa Rubiginosa Seed (Rosehip) Oil*, Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil*, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Oil*, Lecithin*, Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) Oil*, Corthellus Shiitake (Mushroom) Extract*, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Oil*, Anthemis Nobilis (Roman Chamomile) Fower Oil* Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract*, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit Extract*, Lycium Barbarium (Goji) Fruit Extract*

*Certified Organic Ingredients.

The next item I received in this box is this Curandera Remedies Kapalabati Cold & Sinus Herbal Oil. What’s unique about this oil is that you can use it as an inhalant, drop some on your shower floor and breathe it in as a steam, use a Q-tip and apply a small amount just inside your nose or behind your ears, and apply as a simple chest rub to help you breathe when you’re asleep. I really like applying this to the inside of my nose or on the shower floor as a steam because it definitely helps clear air pathways. It smells just like methalato which, if you’re Hispanic, you know exactly what I’m talking about. If not, it’s very similar to Vick’s Vapor Rub, but a lot more natural and without all the petroleum jelly as this comes in a simple oil form.

Curandera Remedies Kapalabati Cold & Sinus Herbal Oil Ingredients ($25 Value) –  Vitamin E, eucalyptus eo, menthol oil, neem infusen grapeseed oil, rosemary, lavender, camphor, spruce.

Last last item I received was a mineral blush from GIA Minerals called Stunning which is described as “warm baby rose blushed pink.” Looking at the color inside the jar, it looks like it would be a hideous bright pink. I admit that I thought it would look horrible on me as I’m not one to like the look of overly bold blushes, but I really love this one. The smallest amount of blush gives your skin a beautiful radiant glow so I can see this powder lasting me a long time even though the jar isn’t that big. Some really impressive things about this blush are that it’s vegan, cruelty-free, 100% natural and gluten-free, USDA certified organic, and free of parabens.

Mineral Blush in Stunning Ingredients ($25 Value) – Mica, Serecite, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, *Green Tea, *Jojoba, *Calendula, *Rosemary

*Certified Organic Ingredients

The total value of this box with everything is a massive $91.99 which I thought was just some insane value. If you want to try green beauty, but you don’t want to break the bank doing it, this is a great option because it won’t cost you very much, but you’ll get to try out some natural products that are specially curated with so much love, care, and attention to detail in sizes that will actually give you a sense of what the products are really like.

That’s so awesome! <3 I'm not that much into the whole subscription box thing either, but this seems pretty darn awesome–yay for no filler products, and I'm a fan of green beauty products as well! <3 Congrats on becoming an ambassador! :]

thanks Farrah! I know, I normally hate subscription boxes. Back when I was first getting into blogging and beauty products, I subscribed to all kinds of boxes, but I hated most of them. This was the only one I really every liked and found to be worth the price and that was like 4 years ago! Insane how time flies. So I’m happy to be a brand ambassador for them! 🙂
