The Significance of Flowers
Different flowers hold different meanings and I think they are a wonderful way to gift someone special with a unique gift, but also conveys a special message depending on the kind of flower and the color that you give. Since wedding season is in full swing (or maybe you’re planning a wedding for fall), I thought I would share some of my favorite flowers and the meaning behind each one.
Meaning: Passion, Love, Devotion
If you have strong feelings of love, passion and devotion towards someone, these are the perfect and classic choice!
Azaleas mean abundance so you can happily wish someone lots of abundance this spring (or year) by gifting them with a bouquet of these beauties!
Meaning: Sweet Love
This could mean a new love or maybe just a love toward your mom or grandmother. It’s a beautiful way to say “I love you” that’s not necessarily typical.
Violets are a unique way of declaring your commitment to someone. Whether that someone is your family, a significant other, or maybe just someone who needs extra support.
Sunflowers are a bright way to express your adoration for someone special.
Peonies represent healing and, as such, are the perfect flowers to give someone who has been feeling a little low, either physically or emotionally and needs a pick me up!
Meaning: Good Luck
Okay, so not technically a flower, BUT if you want to wish someone good fortune, these are ideal because they mean “wishing you good fortune and luck.”
If someone you know has recently done something kind or maybe you just feel appreciated by them, then these are the perfect flowers to show your thanks.
Yellow roses, unlike their red counterparts, actually represent friendship. These are perfect for gifting to all your close friends in the springtime!
