I stupidly forgot to review this item, even though I’ve been testing it out for a few months now. I don’t know why, exactly, except to say that I’ve been so busy it completely went out of my mind. So, I apologize for that, but it’s here now and I love it!
I was kindly sent the Liquid Gold Rejuvenating Cream by Alpha-H and have been using it consistently for a few months now with awesome results.
Much like their Liquid Gold Toner and also their Balancing Moisturizer + Gentle Exfoliant, this seems to be somewhat of a hybrid of the two. Basically, the usage is very similar to LG because you only use it every third night (which I do) or every other night as the lovely people at Alpha-H recommend. The texture of this cream is surprisingly light and absorbs quickly into the skin.
They don’t say you can’t use it with anything else, but I prefer to use this alone to optimize the results. I use my LG toner one night, a face oil or balm on the second night, and my LG cream on the third night to give you an idea of the skin rotation you could use this in your own routine.
What makes this cream exceptional is the fact that it helps with many skin concerns all at once be it aging skin, pigmentation, acne, or dullness. It does this with a combination of potent ingredients such as vitamin C (acne, brightening, firms skin, wrinkles, pigmentation), glycolic acid (scarring, discoloration, refining skin texture, brightening), and argan stem cells (hydration).
After using this for a solid few months, I have seen a significant lessening of scars, a more even toned complexion, and a smoother refined skin surface on my face. I also notice that if my skin has any breakouts, it helps get rid of those as well.
The only thing I really do not like about this cream is it’s scent. It smells just like hair removal cream which, if you know what that smells like, it’s awful. I can’t describe it so just go smell your hair removal cream or phone a friend so you can catch a whiff of it.
That being said, I absolutely think it’s worth suffering through the scent as the cream itself works very well and the scent completely goes away once the cream absorbs into your skin so you won’t be sitting there smelling it all night long.
Do check this out, especially if you have combination skin with acne and you’re someone who wants a cream that isn’t super heavy – this is just the thing!
