True Botanicals | Deep Hydrating Body Oil Review

If you read my previous True Botanicals review or my new obsession with their hair care duo, then you’ll know all about my love for their products. I recently tried out their awesome Deep Hydrating Body Oil and I’ve been LOVING IT straight out of the shower, especially since the cold weather has finally hit us here in California. This particular body oil is a cut above most others for winter skincare needs, in my opinion, because it’s specifically designed to help your skin retain moisture while also healing any rough, dry patches or cracked skin and preventing aging through the use of essential oil blends. One thing I really love about True Botanicals products, in general, is that they never use fillers (not even water) or toxins and they seem to function on the belief that every ingredient in the formula counts. How awesome is that?

The Hydrating Body Oil includes a variety of plant oils rich in essential fatty acids AKA the building blocks of your skin.

Plant oils like apricot kernel oil contain vitamins A and E which help plump cells, protect against moisture loss, and help fight skin aging, and brighten and soften the skin. Sesame oil naturally penetrates deeply into the skin and helps heal and soothe flaking, cracked, and generally dry skin. Watermelon seed oil is incredibly light, but effective at penetrating the skin’s layers to both hydrate skin and also help the body get rid of toxins via the skin.

On top of that, it helps improve skin’s elasticity which is wonderful for areas that might experience aging and sagging like your neck, decolleté, and even breast tissue areas.

The oil feels incredibly thick going on, but not heavy, and you need very little to cover your entire body which is good because this oil is not cheap. I use it right out of the shower to help spread and absorption of the oils into my skin and it works so well I don’t need to apply anything else. Moreover, it leaves my skin silky soft, smooth, and glowing. It also smells really lovely and light; tea, rosewood, and light jasmine are notable, but it’s not overwhelming and you could put other scents over it or apply perfume without them causing any conflict. I’m obsessed with this oil and I’ll definitely be re-stocking just as soon as I can afford to.
