Josh Rosebrook has such a coveted skincare line. His lineup is one that green beauty bloggers and even non-green bloggers alike whisper about in the shadows. We are dying to share the wonderfulness that is Josh Rosebrook Skincare and, yet, simultaneously don’t want the secret to get out. I feel like I’m finally ready to share this amazing brand with you all so here are my thoughts on the many samples I’ve been fortunate enough to try over the past few months!

The Magical Miracle that Is Josh Rosebrook Skincare

First off, if you have no idea who Josh Rosebrook is, well, I’m about to rock your world 😉 Josh Rosebrook, the lovely man behind the brand makes the most beautifully effective skin and hair products ever. He so clearly puts the most attention and care into products that it’s no surprise that they really do work very well. On top of that, the man himself is just as wonderful, kind and sincere as the products in his collection.

What’s not to love about pure, natural, and organic products that are deliberately formulated to work in synergy and supporting a wonderful brand like this one? Exactly. What’s not to love?

I’m really loving the Josh Rosebrook brand, on a whole, and I didn’t have a single bad experience so there’s that. On top of that, I was impressed by the care put into purity of ingredients, synergy of ingredients in each product formula, and a clear dedication to effective ingredients and cruelty-free products. I tried out quite a few products so here are my thoughts on each one!

Moisturizing Cleanser

This cleanser is AMAZING. It’s so incredibly gentle and it works really well. The scent is divine (ALL JR product smell intoxicating!). I think any skin type could use this cleanser, even sensitive and reactive types (including acne prone) to great effect. 

Hydrating Accelerator Toner

This toner has the same scent as the cleanser and it works lovely under serums. It’s very softening to skin and, like all JR products, very soothing. It seems like JR products were created to calm and soothe any and every kind of skin which it does wonderfully. 

Deep Hydrating Serum

This serum feels somewhere between a face oil and a serum. It’s so incredibly hydrating, but also light, that you really need the tiniest amount to cover your entire face and neck. It also smells lovely and works really well.

Active Enzyme Exfoliator

This is a wonderfully gentle face exfoliant, especially if you have sensitive or acne prone skin! This feels strangely like rubbing tea or dirt all over your face, but it smells amazing and the effects are indisputable. My skin looked and felt softer, calmer, and even more hydrated. It is a wonderful way to exfoliate without causing any upset or irritation to skin. 

Nutrient Day Cream SPF30

This is one of the best face sunscreens I’ve tried. It’s one of the few natural sun creams out there that leaves no white cast on your face at all. On top of that, it smells nice and goes on incredibly light so there’s no fear of it breaking you out or clogging pores. This one is really awesome because it also comes chock full of antioxidants and other valuable plant ingredients which help protect your skin so it combines your daily moisturizers and serums with a sun cream. It’s a fantastic product to save time!

Cacao Antioxidant Face Mask 

This Cacao mask smells like a delicious dessert! It smells like chocolate and raspberries, in my opinion, and it’s lovely to help calm, hydrate and clear breakouts on your skin. It’s somewhere between a clay mask and something that feels a lot like mousse. It’s easy to apply, though a little messy, and works really well. 

Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner

These were the only 2 products that really didn’t wow me. They are incredibly gentle and work well to cleanse, hydrate and do it all without irritating your scalp or weighing hair down. That said, they really didn’t do much for me one way or the other. I do like the scent and I love that they’re gentle, but I think I might fare better with the Balance Hair line from JR as this one may have been too hydrating? I’m not sure, but if you have dry, damaged, brittle, color-treated, or even thicker hair type, this may work really well for you.

Overall, I love these products! They smell amazing and work so well.

There’s something very unique and amazing about the scent of Josh Rosebrook products. You’ll understand what I mean if you’ve tried them. On top of that, they’re all filled to the brim with potent plant ingredients that are, at the same time, incredibly gentle to use and very effective at healing, hydrating and protecting your skin. I’m so impressed that they’ve been able to create a line of products that, in my opinion, literally anyone can use. I wanted to write super detailed reviews for each product, but really I just want you to know that they are gentle, they are wonderful, and they actually work. If you are in the market for the purest green products available and you want some that actually work, but don’t cause irritations, these are some of the absolute best.
