The Little Alchemist Skincare Review

A few months back, I reached out to Natalie of The Little Alchemist and was able to get hold of a few products to review for you guys. I had previously tried the Cacao and Banana Face Glow Mask so I knew I was going to love the others just as much and I was NOT disappointed!

Kyella Rose Antioxidant Hydrate Face Mist ♥

The Kyella Rose Antioxidant Hydrate Face Mist is a real treat to use. It’s formulated with a very unique set of ingredients: apple extract for brightening,  goji berry for it’s potent antioxidant content, bilberry leaf which soothes and protects, gotu kola which is firming and purifying to the skin and helps with acne, and bearberry which naturally brightens the complexion (including sun/age spots!).

The packaging for this is brilliant because it disperses a fine mist onto skin instead of squirting you aggressively in the face like some others I’ve tried. Also, this face mist smells AMAZING. It’s very rose, but not overwhelming and it doesn’t smell like old woman or anything (because I would hate that). Instead, the scent is gentle, relaxing, and helps me wind down after a long day.

On top of that, this is brilliant to use before applying serums to help ease of application and absorption and extend the life of your super expensive serums. When using a toner like this before applying your serum or face oil, you can get away with literally using 5 drops on your skin and that’s enough so it’s helpful to prolong your products!

Ingredients: Rosa Damascena (Rose) Hydrosol*, Leuconostoc/Aloe barbadensis Leaf/ Sorbus Aucuparia Fruit Ferment Filtrate, Lycium Barbarum, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Extract*, (Goji Berry) Extract*, Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Extract*, Arctostaphylos uva ursi (Bearberry) Extract*, Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Extract*, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Extract*, Vaccinium Myrtillus (Bilberry Leaf) Extract*

Cacao & Banana Face Glow Revitalising Nutrient Mask ♥

I did a full review on this face mask, but I thought I would share some highlights of it since it’s definitely my favorite face mask for achieving a healthy allover glow. Firstly, it smells really pleasant; somewhere between chocolate, herbs, and fruit. It’s also incredibly smooth going on the skin. This mask comes in powder form which you mix with water to form a paste and unlike other powder masks I’ve tried, this is not gritty or sandy AT ALL. Instead, it blends completely with water or honey and applies so smooth over skin. It’s a lot less messy than other powder masks I’ve tried.

Also, the mask includes tons of brightening ingredients such as raw cacao, acai berry, banana, turmeric and green papaya which leave the skin looking fresh and plump afterwards. I love using this before a big night out because it definitely feels like it preps the skin for looking it’s best. Also, the mask is surprisingly gentle and not irritating at all so I think people will sensitive skin would be safe trying this out as well; just make sure you don’t have any issues with any of the ingredients and do a patch test first!

Ingredients: Kaolin (Ivory clay), Theobroma cacao (raw)*, Musaacuminate (Banana)*, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai )*, Lycium barbarum (Goji Berry 40% Polysaccharides), Morinda citrifolia ( Noni Fruit)*,Garcinia mangostana (Mangosteen )*, Lepidium Peruvianum Chacon(Maca Root )*, Emblica Officinalis (Amla )*, Arthrospira Platensis (Spirulina)*, Punica granatum (Pomegranate )*, Cordyceps Sinensis (Cordyceps Mushroom ), Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn ), Chlorella vulgaris (Chlorella – Thin Cell Wall), Medicago Sativa (Alfalfa Leaf)*, Carica Papaya (Green Papaya ), Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha )*, Fucus Vesiculosus (Bladderwrack )*, Pink Clay, Yellow Clay, Zeolite, Cocos nucifera (coconut juice)*, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric Root)*

Ultra C Radiance Serum with Vitamin C, Goji Berry, Co Enzyme Q10 & Chia Seed ♥

This last product is a lovely brightening serum in a base of organic rosehip oil. Also included in the formula are vitamin C ester, date seed, argan oil, olive derived squalane, co-enzyme Q10, vitamin A, coconut fruit, chia seed, acai and goji berries, wheatgrass, gotu kola, and acerola fruit. This serum is chock-full of skin-beneficial ingredients to help hydrate, soften, plump, smooth, and brighten skin and I’m seeing a difference in the overall clarity of my skin as well. This is one of those serums that seemingly does it all; smooth and firm fine lines, revitalize stressed skin, stimulate collagen product, protect from free radicals, even out skin tone, brighten, hydrate and clear skin.

I feel like my skin seems a lot softer and smoother since using this serum. The serum itself is very thick, more oil than lotion, and very protective of the skin. It’s ideal for the cold winter months if you want a serum that feels a lot more substantial. Some serums are lovely, but seem to evaporate off the skin if they aren’t layered with a face oil over the time, in my opinion, and this won’t do that. It’s got enough weight to it that it will truly nourish and treat your skin. I think it would be best used as a night treatment and it’s really gentle considering it has some really potent ingredients included in the formula. The scent is subtle, barely noticeable, in my opinion, and not a more notable aspect of the serum, but then I’ve been using it for the effectiveness, not the scent.

Ingredient; Rosa rubiginosa (Rosehip) Oil*, Argania Spinsosa(Argan) Oil*, Camellia Oleifera (Camellia) Seed Oil*,Squalane(Olive),Lycium Barbarum (Goji)Fruit Oil, Tetrahexyldecyl  Ascorbate (Vitamin C ester), Ubiquinone (Co Enzyme Q10), Phoenix Dactylifera (Date) Seed Extract, Salvia Hispanica (Chia) Seed CO2 Extract, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit Extract*, Pascopyron Smithii (Wheatgrass) Extract*,Hippo phaerhamnoides (Seabuckthorn) Oil, Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract*, Lycium Barbarum (Goji)Fruit Extract*,Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) CO2 Extract, Ascophyllum Nodosum (Kelp) Extract*,Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Extract*, Sambucus nigra Fruit Extract, Rentinol Palmitate(Vitamin A), Mixed Vitamin E Tocopherols
