The Best Skincare Products for Acne Prone Skin!

Whatever your skin type, finding the right skincare products for your skin can be difficult, but no one has it harder than those with acne prone skin. I should know – I suffered most of my teens and early 20’s with mild to sometimes severe hormonal acne and, though my skin is now clearer than it’s ever been, it’s mostly due to years of perfecting my own skincare routine and using makeup products that won’t irritate or inflame my skin. Since I’ve done loads of research and I’ve experimented, trialed and failed with tons more products, I figured it was high time I came up with a list of skincare products you can use if you have acne prone skin. These products, I’ve found, are best for those who have easily irritated skin, spots and acne prone skin, and even skin that is severely affected by breakouts. These products WILL help!

The Best Skincare Products for Acne Prone Skin

May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon Beauty Balm – This nourishing skin balm is perfect for acne prone skin because it has TONS of calming plant ingredients including Blue Tansy which is known for it’s efficacy in calming inflamed and irritated skin while also healing and restoring it. It also includes camellia seed oil and cacao seed butter for hydration that won’t clog your skin. Aside from the obviously skin-deep benefits, the balm comes in a heavy beautiful luxe black glass jar that will look stunning on any vanity or counter and the balm itself is a beautiful soft sea blue that smells incredible and relaxing. {See the Review Here!}

Trilogy Organic Rosehip Oil – This simple face oil does so much for skin! It helps heal blemishes, acne scarring, and also help improve skin hydration. The natural plant oil is rich in vitamins and nutrients which help to naturally lighten spots and uneven skin tone as well as heal skin over time. They’ve also enriched this face oil with lycopene-rich tomato to help prevent free radical damage and premature aging. It’s perfect for super sensitive skin! {See the Review Here!}

May Lindstrom The Honey Mud Cleansing Silk – Another May Lindstrom gem, this gentle cleansing silk looks like chocolate mousse in a luxe black jar and smells just like dessert (but don’t eat it!). Included in the ingenius formula are ingredients such as raw honey, cocoa absolute, vanilla and frankincense for a gentle, but deep cleanse that will brighten, rejuvenate, and smooth and soften the skin. {See the Review Here!}

Suti Organic Peppermint Cooling Face Toner – This super simple facial toner is formulated with one simple ingredient – organic peppermint hydrosol! It’s super cooling and calming and smells lovely. I’ve found that it’s especially good for calming skin redness and other irritations. {See the Review Here!}

Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brush – Although I haven’t reviewed this, I’m constantly mentioning it in posts because I use mine all the time. I really should do a proper review, but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I don’t use it every day, more like 2 times per week, but I notice a huge difference when I don’t use it on my skin at least once a week because it’s a seriously convenient and effective method of deep cleansing the skin when I don’t feel like doing facial massages and it definitely helps smooth the skin. I’ve also found that if I use this before applying a face mask or a skin treatment (like serums, oils, etc.), it makes all of them a million times more effective. EDIT: See my Clarisonic Review Here!

Antonia Burrell Cream Supreme – I’ve written about this face cream plenty of times already, but it deserves all the press it gets here on my little blog because it TRULY works! If you buy nothing else, BUY THIS! It has helped clear my skin of every problem and given my incredible clarity. It helps get rid of blemishes, blackheads, whiteheads, redness, irritation, scarring, discoloration, pigmentation and more. They also use a unique plant complex that helps fight acne, specifically, and also helps protect skin from UV damage. This stuff is magical! {See the Review Here!}

Alpha-H Gentle Exfoliant and Moisturizer – I have so many favorites from Alpha-H, but this is one that initially helped to clear my skin of breakouts. It’s hydrating, but also notably exfoliating to the skin. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin as the formula includes a high concentration of glycolic acid (an exfoliant) and can feel a bit intense. It may irritate someone with super sensitive skin so only try it out if you think your skin will be able to handle it. If it can, you will notice a huge improvement in how clear your skin is as this clears breakouts and helps diminish discoloration and scarring. {See the Review Here!}

May Lindstrom Problem Solver Face Mask – This is one face mask I truly cannot live without. May Lindstrom Skincare is a big star in my blemish fighting routine and with good reason! This one, especially, will give your skin near-instant results after use. It’s formulated in a powder with raw cacao, various clays, activated charcoal, lavender, cinnamon, clove and more. You use a small amount and slowly mix in water – it will form a mousse which you apply to your skin and leave on for up to 45 minutes. It is very tingling and warms up your skin quite a bit, but as long as your skin isn’t super sensitive, you should be fine. Once you rinse this off, your skin will feel and look softer, calmer, clearer, and generally more beautiful. Try it out and see for yourself – the results are something I can’t really quite explain. It must be experienced firsthand! {See the Review Here!}
