I have a confession to make. I have been a serious Negative Nancy. And it’s totally weird because I am actually known in my circle of friends and family for being a chronic optimist, but lately, things have just gotten to me. I don’t know what it is, but this past week, nothing could get me out of it. I lost half inches this past week and gained a pound and because my weight loss isn’t where I wanted it to be at this point in my journey, I got really down on myself. It wasn’t enough. I wasn’t enough. And nothing feels more horrible than that. So I had more than a few peanut M&Ms this weekend, kept up my workouts, but generally felt less enthusiastic all around and I’m posting on this in the hopes that, if you’re feeling a bit down and out at the moment, this might help pick you back up!
So, this week’s theme is focusing on getting out of that ugly rut and back onto the positivity bandwagon – Are you ready?
I just want to end this post by saying that I know how difficult it can be to keep a positive mindset, but it’s so important, not just for results, but also for your mental state and so you can SEE the results. You can make all the progress in the world, but it won’t matter if you never see it. And do things in your time. Don’t let anyone pressure you or shame you into thinking you’re not good enough or not making progress fast enough. You’re doing things in your own time which is the perfect time for you. So stay positive, never give up and you WILL see results!
