There is something so awesome about spring makeup trends. The beautiful neutral eye makeup, the bold lips and the subtle ones, and the gorgeous youthful blushes almost seem like a representation of spring itself. It’s all so fresh and full of possibility. That’s certainly one of the biggest reasons I have so much fun experimenting with colors when spring hits. I always keep one eye on NYFW for spring to see what’s hot for the season and this season, it’s all about (almost) bared faced makeup, both subtle and bold lips, youthful blushing cheeks, and bronzed looks. I created some fun makeup looks inspired by my favorite makeup trends for spring using 100% natural and organic cosmetics ♥

Spring Makeup Trends to Try

Neutral Eyes - Spring Makeup Trends

Neutral Eyes

Neutral eye makeup is my go-to look for spring. It’s easy, it looks beautiful on everyone, and it’s stunning during the day or night. Another great asset of neutral eye makeup is that you can literally rock any lip color with it and it will look beautiful. I prefer a bold lip color with neutral eye makeup, personally, but you can rock a bright coral, peach, or nude lip as well. Neutral eyes are definitely big for spring makeup trends because the weather warms up and, suddenly, a smoky eye look seems like way too much. Of course, you can always wear this neutral eye makeup during the day and then layer on a charcoal or black color when the sun goes down to make it a bit more bold.

Muted Pink Lips

Another beautiful spring trend is muted pink lips. I love all the shades of pink for spring, but muted lip colors are my favorite! I feel like they’re so understated and anyone of any age can wear them with flattering results. You can be 14 or 40 and this lip color looks lovely. It’s super wearable for work days and I think it’s easy enough to wear if you’re not big on bold lips and want something that’s subtle, but has a pretty pout effect. This definitely does that!

Berry Lips - The Best Natural Lip Colors for Spring 2016

Bold Lips

While I love a subtle pink or peach lip color for the everyday (and work days), I LOVE bold lips for nights out and this color is my new favorite! This liquid lipstick in Velvet Wedding from Studio78 Paris is the most stunning berry lip color EVER. It’s perfect for anyone who wants a bold lip, but doesn’t want to go for all-out red. Bold berry and red apple lips are trending, big time, this spring and I think pairing the bold lip with neutral eyes is a great way to balance out the look and keep it bright and fresh faced.

Blushing - Spring Makeup Trends to Try

Youthful Blush

Let me preface this by saying that I am not someone who normally likes a strong blush look, but I LOVED this look! Having struggled with acne for so many years, I actually avoided blush for years so I was incredibly surprised to find that I really love how this blush turned out. Youthful flushed cheeks is a massive trend for spring and it really does make you look so fresh. It’s a really fun, romantic look and it goes well with any lip color.

Bronzed Makeup

Bronzed

The last makeup trend I really wanted to cover was bronzed cheeks. I’m not someone who can tan easily so I definitely go for the faux-tan look with bronzed cheeks and a little shimmery oil. I really love this kind of look for summer because it’s perfect for days at the pool, beach, or local lake. You could layer this on, if you wanted to, to up the bronze factor, but I like to keep things subtle and light. The cool thing about the bronzing powder I used (linked below) is that it doesn’t look orange at all. Instead, it gives the prettiest, most subtle bronze tan to cheeks. I imagine that the dark bronzing powder would be a lot more pigmented so if you have a darker skin tone or like a strong bronze, that’s probably the better choice for you.
