Spring Fashion Inspiration: Florals

  Spring Fashion Inspiration

Florals are something I always look forward to when it comes to spring fashion. Florals have a way of adding the perfect feminine, bright touch to any outfit or look that just feels appropriate. I feel like even men can wear floral in spring and have it look really chic and stylish. I love all the different ways you can wear it and how it can fit into anyone’s personal style no matter what you like. That in mind, I thought it would be fun to share how you can incorporate floral fashion into your outfits this spring ♥

Punk Floral

I love punk rock chic style. I was all into punk back in high school and around my junior/senior year, I started dressing all out rockabilly, so edgy fashion always appeals to me a little more than everything else. I love a nice pair of heels, but I’ll take a pair of boots over them any day. I like big bags, ripped jeans, and thick cuff bracelets. That’s just my style. That being said, I think adding floral into a style like this is so unexpected that it just works beautifully. It adds a bright feminine touch to an otherwise mostly monochrome outfit and makes the style itself look a lot more unique, in my opinion.

Menswear Inspired

Menswear inspired outfits are all the rage lately and I’m not really that into blazers, but they do work well for office work wear; there’s no denying that. I think adding in floral gives a more feminine feel to outfits that are otherwise really masculine and I like that it makes the outfit seem more colorful and adventurous. To me, it says you’re on time, you’re a badass in the office, but you also have a creative, fun side.

Gypsy Floral

I’ve given this style the name of gypsy, but really it’s bohemian floral. You can obviously add in some gypsy flair like bangles, turbans, gorgeous scarves or sashes, and that will make it feel a bit more magical. Bohemian can be dressed up or dressed down to fit your style, but I think floral fits in with this kind of look perfectly. I love the idea of dresses and cowgirl boots and I feel like it gives an otherwise very floaty and girly look a bit more sass which is something I always like in outfits!

Gothic Floral

Gothic style is very particular, but I’m sure everyone has their own spin and gothic girls don’t like to be compared to anyone else; that’s half the reason they enjoy gothic style in the first place is to stand out. That being said, there are a lot of common themes in goth style: lace, old fashioned cuts in clothing like high collars, unique hardware, and romantic ladylike sensibility with a bit of dark mystery. When it comes to adding floral into gothic style, you can still keep it all black, if you like, with floral lace designs like those shown above or you can add colorful floral in with accessories, bright shoes, a pretty bag, etc. All of these things will add a bright feel to your all black everything outfit.

I’m glad you like it! I love floral for spring mainly, but I just find it to be an interesting way to make outfits pop. Thanks for stopping by Rebecca 🙂

I love floral tops but I don’t really feel like wearing floral pants. They’re just somehow out of tune.

You know, I used to think that too, but now I’m into it for some weird reason haha. I’m so fickle when it comes to fashion – it’s a love/hate relationship with trends lol.
