♥ Happy Thursday Lovelies! ♥
Today’s post is featuring a few of the beauty products I’ve been trying out lately, but don’t have time to dedicate a full review post each. That being said, they all deserve a review, no matter how quick as some of these products might be ones you were looking to try!
The Name Is Product – Organic Hair Pomade - This is one of the best hair pomades that I’ve tried and its one that is especially nice because it doesn’t irritate my scalp or cause dandruff like many pomades out there do. I like that all the ingredients are organic and plant-derived and the formula is smooth, smells nice, and stays in place without making my hair feel sticky or hard. A little goes a long way with this, though, so start with a little and build if you need more otherwise you’ll end up with that greasy feeling.
CV Skin Labs Restorative Skin Balm - This skin balm from CV Skin Labs is fantastic! I used it on cuts and scrapes, as a calming facial balm and even as a makeup face primer! It worked brilliantly under my RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up, though it had a super glowy dewy type of finish, but I like that so it worked for me. Although the brand look medical, they use tons of all natural ingredients as well as omitting artificial preservatives and other harmful ingredients.
CV Skin Labs Calming Moisture Lotion – Utilizing many all natural ingredients, the CV Skin Labs products are 100% free of artificial preservatives and other harmful ingredients. This Calming Moisture Lotion is perfect dry, inflamed, irritated and ashy skin. I used it on my body and face successfully and it’s very calming. It smells subtle and unoffensive so even the most sensitive skin would be okay to use this. With all natural and organic ingredients, I found this worked best for me straight out of the shower when my skin was still damp.
ILIA Lipstick Pink Kashmir - I tried a small sample pot of this lipstick from ILIA and, though there wasn’t enough to get more than 2 uses out of it, I really loved the color! It’s super a pretty pink! It’s subtle enough to wear durng the day with anything, but the color pops enough that you can see it. It’s really pretty, girly and feminine. As always, ILIA Beauty products are formulated with all natural and organic ingredients. You can see my original review for ILIA Beauty – here.
ILIA Lip Conditioner Desert Angel - Another lovely Tinted Lip Conditioner from ILIA, this one is a touch more subtle than the Pink Kashmir which pops a bit more. This pinky nude is really pretty for daytime looks, but also goes well with beachy bronzed makeup looks. I loved wearing it just to wear it because it was subtle, softening to the lips and really pretty without being too noticeable. This is a great pinky nude shade for darker skin tones as it’s more brownish and won’t make you look pasty. As always, ILIA Beauty products are formulated with all natural and organic ingredients. Miracle Skin Transformer Face Tinted Moisturizer SPF20 – This was a totally new product for me, but one I have been wanting to try for ages! While the coverage isn’t that great, it is a TM so I wasn’t expecting much anyway. What is impressive is it’s ability to make your skin look smoother, more even toned and just overall more flawless skin. I like that this includes sunscreen in the formula and the tint matched my skin fine. This worked best for me as a pre makeup base for my RMS Un-Cover Up. Still not sure it’s worth the hype that surrounds it as I haven’t seen any miracles happen with my skin using this, but it’s worth a try and has beneficial ingredients if you’re looking for a nice tinted moisturizer or makeup primer.
Miracle Skin Transformer Heal Everything Balm – This balm has a nice herbal scent to it that some may not like, but others may really enjoy. I personally enjoyed it, but I like natural type scents. This has a creamy texture that you wouldn’t expect from a name that has the word “balm” in it. It doesn’t strike me as very balmy at all, but it’s nice for those who want a “Balm” that doesn’t leave a residue or feel heavy on the skin. This didn’t do much of anything at all for me, but it didn’t irritate my skin or break me out so I’m happy with using it nonetheless.
