Soapwalla Citrus Cream Deodorant Review
Soapwalla is a brand that’s new to me, but one that I’m quickly coming to love, namely, for their wonderful Citrus Cream Deodorant. It smells lovely, first of all, and it’s extremely gentle on the skin. It’s also one of the few cream deodorants I’ve seen that doesn’t use baking soda in it’s formula so it won’t cause irritation to those who have had trouble with those. On top of that, it doesn’t cause dryness to your underarms which is something I’ve personally encountered since switching to natural deodorants, especially when using the cream formulas.

The Soapwalla Kitchen Story
Founded in 2002, Soapwalla Kitchen first began after Rachel Winard started to formulate natural products in her Brooklyn apartment’s kitchen. Having been diagnosed with systemic lupus, a chronic autoimmune condition, which was deeply affecting her sensitive skin, she sought out more natural products. Finding less-than-natural options, even in the supposed natural beauty industry, she took to creating her own skin solutions at home. After much research, development, and study in aromatherapy and herbalism, Rachel finally left the corporate world to create safe products for herself and others with equally sensitive skin needs. In 2012, Soapwalla expanded out to a loft space and grew to include more products including soap bars, face serum, deodorant, body oils, exfoliating polish, lip balms, body washes, and soaking salts created solely from natural oils, clays, powders, botanicals, and essential oils. All products are carefully handmade in small batches to preserve freshness and efficacy.
Things to Love About Soapwalla Citrus Deodorant Cream:
- Super gentle formula doesn’t contain baking soda and won’t cause dryness or irritation to underarms.
- Pleasant citrus scent is subtle, but lovely.
- Cream deodorant formula works for at least 6 hours before you need to re-apply.
- Natural, organic and food grade formula ensures a body safe product.
- Certified Organic and uses plant ingredients to help deodorize, nourish, balance, inhibit bacteria, absorb moisture, and soothe your underarm area.
Overall, I think this is definitely a new favorite for me where cream deodorants are concerned. I think I still prefer my deodorant spray over this because it’s just a lot more convenient and the effects seem to be longer lasting. That said, this is wonderful if you’re not a fan of deodorant sprays or maybe you just want something a little more nourishing and soothing; this absolutely fits the bill! If you are someone who has sensitive skin, this is absolutely a skincare brand to look into as the Soapwalla founder, Rachel, is well versed in the needs and concerns of those who require a little extra TLC when it comes to their skin.
