Random Friday Favorites // Things I’ve Been Loving Lately #20

Happy Friday Lovelies ♥

This week has been stressful and tiring to say the least. I worked out a total of 2 times and they were uninspired at best. I’m talking the slowest, saddest incline treadmill walking you can imagine LOL. I’m sorry life. I’ve just been so preoccupied with the idea of saving money for the deposit, moving into a new place, excitement at new decor ideas and options, and just really trying to pack things as I go without freaking out with anxiety and get rid of things I don’t need so I don’t have to lug them to my new place. The cool thing about my new apartment will be that it’s right in the downtown area so I can walk to a weekend farmer’s market, restaurants and coffee shops are within walking distance, I could bike or take a short drive to the nearest theater, the local college is down the street, and everything is pretty much within arm’s reach. It makes me excited to do a lot more walking which is something that’s pretty hard to come by when you live anywhere in the USA beside New York or Chicago or somewhere that has a competent public transportation system. Anyhow, enough ranting about my living status – here’s this week’s Random Friday Favorites 🙂

The idea of going blonde really intrigues me, but I can’t bring myself to pay exorbitant amounts to get it professionally done and I’m not sure I have the balls to do it myself at home. #firstworldproblems, right? Well, it’s either that or this blue hair color.

I celebrated getting approved for my new apartment with some froyo topped with berries which was amazing. So amazing, in fact, that I felt obligated to mention it here haha. If you’re in the SoCal area, we got this from Cherry On Top so definitely check it out!

These friendship bracelets are so pretty and even more so because they are handmade in Rwanda by local artisans which helps support the economy there. I’m all behind that!

I recently discovered this Drift Salt Bath from BEING, a natural skincare brand for your skin and your soul, while browsing blogs online and I love their philosophy! They are Organic, Vegan and Cruelty Free skincare formulated in small batches to maintain freshness and they believe in creating products that are not only good for your skin and safe for your body, but enriching and nourishing for your soul and spirit as well. This particular salt bath utilizes Hiwa Kai Hawaiian Black Lava Salt and helps to balance and increase blood flow to skin cells while essential oils cedarwood and juniper berry inspire strength, calm, and change.

You can see this salt bath and their entire collection at LivebyBEING.co ♥

Also, if you’re bored and feel like having a good laugh, check out my web series about 2 roommates that hate each other called Roomzies! Episodes 1 and 2 are live 🙂

Congrats on your move! It’s so stressful though 🙂
As far as going blond go, I tried once when I was at Uni still. A friend assured me she could make me blond from a bottle. And let me just say that it was the worst hair I had ever seen. Everything turned orange. And I paid a hair stylist a fortune to get it back to brown… So I would advise against doing it at home since you have darker hair too

Thanks Vicky! It really is optimal and I’ve been wanting to move there for ages, but it had a massive waiting list. I’m so excited about the walking distance thing. that’s definitely a high point for me. Thanks for your awesome post – I was happy to share it!

I really like the bracelet! A great find for sure. Congrats on the new apartment, I wish I could walk to more places, but everything is super spread out in Omaha. However, its a 20 minute town…everywhere takes less than 20 minutes so that’s not too bad

Me too! Thanks Leah 🙂 I’m excited for it, for sure, but everything is super spread out here in California as well. It’s just the downtown area that is pretty close together so I’m psyched about being able to walk. Yeah 20 minutes isn’t too bad! Stay warm ♥

I really love those friendship bracelets! It’s always awesome to purchase things that you know are going to a good cause, and it’s a plus if it also looks cute.
