Random Friday Favorites #51

Happy Friday!

It’s nearly time for Halloween everyone! Will you guys be dressing up this year? If your answer was no, read this and think again. If you are dressing up, what’s your costume? Will you be going crazy with some non-toxic Halloween makeup? What are you doing for the big night? I’d love to know so let’s chat in the comments! If you haven’t even started, check out my ultimate guide to Halloween! My friends and I are going to Sunset Boulevard where approximately 500,000 people go every year to strut their costumes and bar hop, I guess. There are tons of festivals and things as well; several blocks are shut down. I’m excited and anxious about this since I’ve never done it, but it should be pretty fun so wish me luck! This week’s RFF’s are all about green beauty picks I think you should pick up because Halloween is a great excuse to shop 😉 I’ve linked my reviews for each below as well (except the Zosimos lipstick and Cedar Smoke – not sure why I haven’t reviewed them yet!) so you can learn more if you like because I really love these ones and use them myself!

Green Beauty Picks for Halloween ♥

    • Osmia Organics Cedar Smoke Perfume  – This natural fragrance from Osmia Organics is seriously smoky! I really like mixing this with sweeter scents for a customized winter scent that smells like fireplace on cold air with a little vanilla or amber. It’s amazing – FOR REAL.
    • Zosimos Botanicals Lipstick – This lipstick is incredibly pigmented and made in the USA with natural, cruelty-free, and gluten-free ingredients. It’s insane how much color these lipsticks impart!
    • May Lindstrom Problem Solver Mask {REVIEW} – I’ve talked about how obsessed I am with this mask many, many times here on the blog, on my instagram, and basically anywhere I think people will listen. It’s my go-to mask to help calm, clear, and detox my skin every single time. I love other masks, but this is my favorite and has been for years. It utilizes activated charcoal, herbs and spices, vitamin C, and smells like chocolate! On top of that, it makes an instant difference in my skin.
    • Osmia Organics Black Clay Facial Soap {REVIEW} – This is a fantastic facial soap for anyone with acne prone or oily skin. If you have a tendency towards clogged pores, try this! It smells lovely, has a gentle lather, cleanses very well, and helps clear skin. It’s amazing what this bar of soap can do to help unclog your pores and even out tone. I’m not a big fan of soap bars, but this one is a keeper.
    • True Nature Botanicals Pacific Exfoliating Moisture Mask {REVIEW} – This is the second mask in my arsenal of beauty weaponry because, unlike the Problem Solver Mask, it helps brighten and hydrate. Using this on a Monday and Problem Solver on a Wednesday makes my skin look FAB and the potent plant ingredients in this wonderful face mask are backed up by nature AND science.

  • Kure Bazaar Polish in Platinum {REVIEW} – Kure Bazaar nail polishes have been my favorites for years. They’re non-toxic, 5-free, and inspired by both nature and fashion. Their colors are high in shine, long lasting, and come in a number of beautiful shades and hues. Platinum is a surprisingly pigmented liquid silver. It looks very blingy and is perfect for fall and the holidays!
  • Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum {REVIEW} – This is an AMAZING serum. I know so many serums and face oils that claim you can use only a few drops, but this is one of the very few where it’s actually true. I use an exact 5 drops for my entire face and neck area. This serum is filled with potent plant ingredients, including grape seed from their own vineyard, and it does everything from heal, soften and hydrate skin to help clear and even your skin tone. It’s amazing stuff and it totally works.
  • KYPRIS Moonlight Catalyst Serum {REVIEW} – If you are looking for a skin treatment that visibly brightens skin overnight without the use of chemicals, THIS IS IT! Instead, the formula includes potent plant oils and extracts like pumpkin enzymes (natural form of vitamin A AKA retinol) which help brighten your skin and reduce environmental damage AKA aging. It’s a gel-like consistency and it works for all skin types, in my opinion, though you may want to patch test if you have very sensitive skin.
  • May Lindstrom The Good Stuff Radiance Oil {REVIEW} – This is another favorite of mine! A skin, hair and nails oil with a bit of golden shimmer, The Good Stuff Radiance Oil smells like sexy dessert and gives your skin a gorgeous glow without looking glittery or shiny. It’s wonderful to use right out of the shower or mixed with some body lotion. I absolutely love using it on special occasion days when I want my skin to look positively luminous; this does the trick.
  • True Nature Botanicals Pacific Face Mist {REVIEW} – This face mist is one I reached for all summer long. It smells amazing and helped me relax so much. I normally love toners for the sensory benefits, but this one actually helped soothe and hydrate my skin more efficiently when I used it with serums and face oils. That’s hard to come by, in my opinion, where most toners feel like lovely scented waters that do nothing; this one is filled with potent plant oils and marine extracts that really do improve skin over time.
  • Vapour Beauty Mesmerize Eyeliner {REVIEW} – It’s hard to find a natural eyeliner that’s creamy and long lasting, but won’t smudge all over the place. This eyeliner is one of the few that actually has great staying power. I have this one in both Ink (black) and Viper (plum) and both are gorgeous colors to use any time I want it to last all day long.

Oohh I’m considering getting myself that black clay soap! Sounds like something I need!

it’s AMAZING! If you have oily or combination skin or just deal with breakouts and clogged pores – it’s amazing at helping with all of that in a way that’s gentle and doesn’t irritate skin! Also, the bar is huge – I recommend if you buy it to cut it into smaller slices with a knife – it’ll last WAY longer 😉

Ohhh some really good picks here! I definitely want to try out the Kypris and Osmia products!

    1. November 3, 2015 at 4:38 PM

They are amazing! Kypris is one of those brands where all the products are incredibly effective. I don’t know how it works, but it’s brilliant. Osmia is the same kind of magic, but with a more rustic feel. Their soap is wonderful!
