Random Friday Favorites | Things I’ve Been Loving Lately #31

Happy Friday ♥

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week and are looking forward to an even more fun weekend! My birthday is this Monday so I’ll (hopefully) be partying all weekend long. By partying, I mean watching movies, eating good food, and maybe going to karaoke 🙂 Because that’s my idea of fun! I’m not much of a drinker, really, but I love to sing and watch films and eat haha so those are on the agenda! Anyone else have a birthday in April? How are you celebrating?

This week’s RFF theme is the balance between light and dark. I’ve been obsessing over this concept because I’ve been binge-watching The Secret Circle on Netflix (it’s amazing! if you like witch stuff, you will LOVE it!). I think we all have the potential for brilliant light and darkness; it’s all a matter of choice and we have to choose it over and over again. It’s like not giving up, being optimistic, going after our dreams, and choosing courage over fear. I’d like to think I can live my life choosing the light each and every day, but nobody’s perfect. There is both light and dark in us all; we just have to choose what we want to be.

I guest blogged on Pastries, Pumps & Pi today! Check it out HERE

  • The Secret Circle TV Show (and books) – I have been obsessed with this show since last week! I basically binge watched it all last weekend and finished it on Tuesday. I’m so into this show I’ve gone out and purchased the books that this series was based on because they cancelled this show after the first season (sadly)! It was such a great show, though, with cool characters, awesome fashion, and fun witchy plot elements. It was such fun to watch! If you have Netflix, definitely check it out, otherwise the book series of the same name is said to be really good as well!
  • Black Satin Cherry Blossom Sleep Mask – This gorgeous satin mask has such a pretty design and all the items in this shop, including the lingerie, are so stunning that I pretty much want it all!
  • Old Town Spice and Tea Merchants – I discovered these handcrafted teas at the Temecula farmer’s market a few weeks back and they are so good! They smell amazing – so fragrant – and the blends are lovely. I recommend Marrakesh Mint and Green Paradise Tea.
  • Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Facial Oil – After trying out Herbivore Botanicalssee my previous review here – a few months ago, I fell in love with their minimalist packaging and simple, but lovely product formulas. A newer product release, their Lapis Facial Oil looks ideal for summer! It’s meant for troubled skin types from combination to oily and includes valued ingredients such as blue tansy and blue yarrow which are antibacterial and anti inflammatory. Both aid in reducing redness, healing acne and other skin issues, and clarifying the complexion. The formula is 100% natural.
  • Perfume Bottle Necklace – For Strange Women is a gorgeous place to find natural perfume oils and this unique necklace is in the shape of a heart. It looks so old world beautiful that I know I need one!
  • Jane Iredale Getaway Eyeshadow Kit – After trying out the lovely new lip & cheek stain and gel shadow from the new JI spring collection, I know I’ll be wanting the palette from this collection as well! See my review for the JI spring collection items – here.
  • Floral Print Blazer – Loving florals for spring and this blazer is perfect for work and Sunday brunch!
  • Midnight Roses and Bats Dress – I love the unique design of this dress and while I realize it’s a bit unorthodox, it’s still gorgeous in it’s own right – I would totally wear it any time of the year – just saying.
  • The Organic Pharmacy Organic Glam Blusher – This gorgeous pink blush from the Organic Pharmacy looks so lovely for spring! I love that it comes in a portable compact and it looks like the perfect consistency for glowing spring makeup 🙂

HB is amazing! Definitely give them a try sometime. The blush looks so lovely – OP has some lovely skincare products, but never tried their makeup. 🙂

Love this. I’ll add the show to my netflix queue. I’ve been binge watching charmed, it reminds me of when it first came out and I was still a teen!

definitely let me know how you like it! It’s a little cheesy in the beginning haha, but if you liked charmed, definitely will like it!
