Orphan Black Style

Orphan Black Style

You may have read this post about my latest TV show obsession, BBC America’s Orphan Black. If not, go read it and come back! If you’ve seen the show, then you’ll know what I’m on about.

A Quick Rundown

If you don’t feel like reading my post on Orphan Black, then I’ll give you a quick rundown. Basically, Orphan Black is a show about a woman – Sarah – who witnesses another woman (who looks identical to Sarah) commit suicide by throwing herself in front of a train. Sarah then steals her left-behind handbag and assumes her identity in an effort to steal her money, but gets caught up in a huge conspiracy that has a lot more to do with her than she realizes. You find out (basically) that Sarah is a clone and that many of her genetic identicals are out in the world, living their lives, who may or may not know what they are.

Given how obsessed I’ve become with the show (seriously it is AWESOME), I decided to share some of my favorite looks from my 3 favorite characters of the show because orphan black style is seriously amazing. I mean, when you binge watch 2 seasons of a show, it deserves some recognition, amirite?

Alison Hendricks

Alison’s style is really very preppy and mom-ish. She’s a crafty housewife so it makes sense, but somehow her character gives her preppy clothing a kind of attitude anyway.

Cosima Niehaus

Cosima is a brilliant scientist so it makes sense that her style is completely bohemian chic. Everything looks built for comfort with knits, dresses and crop tops.

Sarah Manning

Sarah is not only the main character – she’s also my favorite. Actually, I’m pretty sure she’s nearly everyone’s favorite because she’s such a badass. She has her problems, that’s true, but she’s a survivalist. I love her punk rock chic style. It’s definitely my ideal style for sure.

ME TOO! It’s such an awesome show. You can probably find it online at Couch Tuner (get an adblocker though – there are SO many popups ). If you have BBC America, you might be able to watch it on Demand on your TV. 🙂

I’ve never seen this show but I get caught up in the characters on my favorite tv shows too. Scandal is my #1 show right now, and I LOVE Olivia Pope’s Style!

Me too definitely. I love this show so much haha. I tend to obsess about my favorite shows. I haven’t see Scandal, but I always see my bf’s mom watching it and Kerry Washington is such a great actress it does look awesome! I love her style in real life so I can only imagine how good it is on the show! Also I read a bunch of quotes from her character (via a buzzfeed article haha) and I was like ” I like this character Olivia Pope!” she sounds like such a bada%$!

I’ve never seen (or heard of) this show before but I am really liking the characters’ sense of styles! Especially Allison’s with that tee shirt dress she styled in the photo you pictured.

yes! The show is so awesome. If you enjoy sci-fi, you’ll definitely enjoy it. So far, it’s on season 3 (just started), but the first 2 seasons you can find online, on BBC America (if you get that channel) or purchase them on blu ray for a cheap price.
