Your Official Guide to Green Beauty Brands You Can Trust

Your Official Guide to Green Beauty Brands You Can Trust - There are a ton of brands out there that claim to be all natural, organic, vegan, cruelty-free, etc. that really aren't. Here's a comprehensive list of what's safe to use and which brands you can trust to make safe beauty products!

PLEASE NOTE! This page is a comprehensive list of green beauty brands I’ve personally tried and reviewed and a few I know other bloggers frequently rave about. It’s meant to serve as a reference for those switching to green beauty or those confused about which brands are trustworthy, truly natural, vegan, cruelty-free, etc. It’s being updated all the time so keep in mind that not all information is complete, not all brands that I know of will be represented here, etc. but I’ve done my best and I will be updating it periodically to make sure the information stays up to date ♥

Your Official Guide to Green Beauty Brands You Can Trust

Green beauty has had such an amazing effect on my life. From the people I’ve been able to connect with to the wonderful products I’ve discovered and the incredible stories I’ve heard, it’s really been quite lovely. The downright astonishing level of brand integrity I’ve been met with from so many brands has been something that I never really believed existed until I started discovering more green brands and that’s not just in beauty. A whole new world (cue the music) opened up to me.

Since then, I’ve done so much research, trialed so many products, and really gotten a bit of an education on the entire world of natural skincare, makeup, hair, and nails. It’s insane how much we don’t know about what’s in mainstream products. I had no idea when I first started out and now that I have a bit of education and experience under my belt, I thought it was high time to share some of the green beauty brands with you all that are really worth your hard-earned cash and, more than that, your trust.

If you’re unfamiliar with green beauty, it can be seriously easy to fall into the trap of purchasing products from your local drugstore that you think are green, but actually are anything but natural.

Green bloggers and enthusiasts alike commonly call this “green washing” which is where brands will add in a minuscule amount of a random natural ingredient to their chemical-laden products and call it “natural.”

I fell into the greenwashing trap many times and I’m sure I’m not alone in that so I want to share with you all some of my favorite green beauty brands that are trustworthy and effective companies that you’ll be more than proud to support.

You might think you’ll be giving something up by making the switch, but I promise that you won’t have to give up anything. In fact, I think you’ll find that these new brands have a lot more to offer you in terms of quality, performance, personality, and most importantly: they are all body-safe.

Juice Beauty

Formulated from certified organic juice, herbal extracts, plant powders, and oils here in the USA, Juice Beauty products include both organic skincare and cosmetics, but I personally like their skincare better. They use mostly plastic containers which isn’t that eco-friendly, but they do use sustainable soy ink and recycled paper.

Some products are also manufactured using solar power, but a lot of the info is extremely vague. Ingredients are sourced from the USA and elsewhere (though they don’t say where). They donate to various charities like the Breast Cancer Fund and they say they don’t do animal testing, but they’re not certified cruelty-free or vegan.
