One Love Organics Vitamin C Body Polish Review

I was so excited to get a product from the new spring collection by One Love Organics, one of my favorite skincare brands EVER. I received the Vitamin C Body Polish and I couldn’t be more in love!

This gorgeous scrub has the signature tropical pineapple scent that OLO is so well known for and includes a blend of plant oils, raw sugar crystals, vitamin C, and shea. The scrub is definitely perfect for getting your skin in shape for spring and summer months. If, like me, you deal with dry elbows, knees, heels, or maybe you just want your skin to glow a little bit more, this is PERFECT for you! It smells amazing, like a tropical paradise has arrived in your shower, and helps exfoliate, hydrate and brighten skin all in one go.

Ingredients: sucrose*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil*, glyceryl behenate, glyceryl caprylate, polyglyceryl-3 palmitate, butyrospermum parkii (shea) oil*, tocopherol, ascorbyl palmitate, aloe barbadensis leaf extract*, fragrance/parfum, dehydroacetic acid (and) benzyl alcohol (and) water/aqua/eau

*Ingredients from Organic Farming/les ingredients biologiques

The thing I really love about this scrub is that it includes vitamin C which helps to brighten your skin over time with continued use. That said, it’s a scrub which typically does not stay on your skin very long so to get the most out of the ingredients in this scrub, I apply it to my body before getting in the shower on points I would like to be brightened or need extra exfoliation and attention. I massage the scrub into those areas gently, leave on for 10 minutes.

Then, I hop in the shower and massage the scrub a bit more when I’m under the water which actually helps the scrub work more efficiently.

The sugar crystals dissolve and it seems to release the oils in the scrub because all of a sudden, my skin felt silky soft and hydrated. It felt like freaking magic! I find that using the scrub in this way helps make this scrub more of a treatment than just body polish so I can maximize the vitamin C benefits I’m getting from it. Just make sure you’re very gentle when massaging into your skin with little to no pressure. The sugar crystals are gentle if you are so don’t press into your skin or rub too hard otherwise you run the risk or over-exfoliating or irritating your skin and you don’t want that so use a light hand at all times, people! Obviously, you can just use it as a typical scrub or body polish, but this is what I’ve found works well for me 🙂
