I’m super excited to share a brand new body serum with you all, just in time for summer!
From celebrity natural makeup artist turned eco skin entrepreneur, Lina Hanson, comes this delightful Global Body Serum.
I was happily sent a small sample of this body serum and have loved every second of this delightful sample – sadly, it was a small sample, and is now completely gone *sobs*.
This serum is created much like Lina’s Global Face Serum (see my review on that here) – hand blended in small quantities using only the finest sustainable, natural and organic ingredients without any nasty artificial ones. Actually, the reason the serums are called “Global” is because the ingredients in the formula are eco sourced from various locations around the world utilizing ingredients known for their healing and rejuvenating properties. Both serums are also cruelty free.
This serum utilizes a lovely blend of grapefruit and vanilla which doesn’t sound like it would go well together, but actually smells incredibly intoxicating. The serum is meant to help restore elasticity, relieve dryness, and aid in stimulating circulation on the body’s skin. Other restorative ingredients include marula, ylang ylang, baobab, argan, yuzu, camellia seed, mandarin, frankincense and others.
Although I was only able to try this one out for a few days (due to the small sample), I really love the scent of this. It smells amazing – great for mornings straight out of the shower as it’s super energizing. The scent isn’t overpowering, but just right and fades down a bit after soaking in so you can safely wear other fragrances over it. I think this is a great body oil to use under a more hydrating lotion as I didn’t find this to be super hydrating to my very dry skin, but that also could have been that I didn’t get enough time to see any long term results given the short testing time. I love the ethics of this serum and think that, although it’s extremely pricey at $63 for only 3.4 Oz, it is a very nice serum to treat yourself to, if you can afford the steep cost.
You can purchase this directly from LinaHanson.com or a number of other beauty stores online including BeingContent (UK), FreshFaced.ca (CA), Indulge.se (Sweden), and SpiritBeautyLounge (USA).
