5 Benefits of Natural Candles:

Clearing Your Home of Odors.

Candles are wonderful for clearing your home of unpleasant and strong odors. I like burning candles whenever I get home, after cooking dinner, or while cleaning to clear out any musty smells. This keeps my house smelling fresh and permeates each room with a lovely, subtle scent.

Keeping Bugs Away.

Another wonderful benefit of utilizing natural candles, specifically, in your home is that the essential oils help keep bugs away. This is because the many essential oils in natural candle blends are not appealing to bugs such as mosquitoes, ants, roaches, mice, fleas, bats, spiders, flies, ticks, and other insects. Some essential oils that you want to look for in your natural candle blends include citronella, eucalyptus, tea tree, lemongrass, rosemary, lavender, cedar, mint, cajeput, clove, peppermint, patchouli, cinnamon, orange, pine, lemon, basil, geranium and many others!

Cleaning the Air.

Natural candles have essential oils blended into the wax so when they burn, the essential oils permeate the air and actually help improve the air quality in your home. Scents to look out for include lemon, lemongrass, mint, cedar, and other citrus essential oils because these can help clean the air in your home. Coupled with some lovely green house plants and your home’s air quality will be clean and green!

Naturally Altering Your Mood.

The essential oils in candles are also brilliant for altering your mood in a positive way. Lemon and citrus scents are refreshing, uplifting, and great for a boost of energy. Lavender and eucalyptus are soothing and relaxing. Patchouli, sandalwood, ylang ylang, and vanilla are sexy scents for confidence and romance. You can easily set the mood for your day/night by burning the right candles.

Setting the Atmosphere.

Speaking of setting the atmosphere, candles are incredible for setting the mood. Need help to get energized in the morning or looking to detox and unwind after a long day? Want to set a romantic tone for dinner with your partner? There’s a candle for that! You can also burn a candle with a relaxing scent just before bed, blow it out, and then breathe in that scent as you sleep to help you experience improved sleep.
