My Favorite Instagram Posts 2015

It’s crazy to think that the year feels like it’s just flown by, but when I look back at my instagram posts, the ones from the beginning of the year feel a million miles away. So much has changed since the start of the year: I moved into a new apartment, completed 3 short films, and was part of some amazing projects. More recently, I paid off 65% of my total debt. Can I get a hallelujah for that? LOL. Anyway, I thought I would share some of my favorite instagram posts from 2015 because it’s crazy to see how much has happened, how my photos have improved over time, and I had a lot of fun taking the various photos. Also, I thought I would share a little more about each post to give more context to the images and all that jazz so I hope you enjoy!

All the way back in March, I was craving pineapple and I wanted to drink coconut water straight from the source. It’s kind of weird because this particular day was rainy and overcast, but when a craving strikes, it strikes hard! I got the benefit of a very tropical looking photo in the middle of cold March.

This incredible Vitamin C Body Polish from One Love Organics smells like a tropical island getaway! It’s wonderful on dry skin and includes hydrating plant oils to hydrate while it gently exfoliates and vitamin C to brighten your skin! I was seriously sad to see this scrub go and I’ll definitely be picking up another one!

Antonym Cosmetics make some lovely ecocert cosmetics and this gorgeous bamboo eye shadow quad offered up some stunning, seriously pigmented shadows! Moreover, the colors are all incredibly flattering year round. I use this one all the time.

This mid-evening photo that I took just before dinner really exemplifies what California evenings look like at dusk. I really loved this because I love those days where the clouds roll in and night turns overcast and rainy.

Once August hit, Halloween was on my brain! I jumped at the chance to start creating Halloween makeup looks when October finally hit and Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas was the first one I did. I’m shocked at how cool it came out. I honestly didn’t think I’d do so well, but I guess that’s what happens when you spend your childhood obsessed with Tim Burton movies.

I spent the better part of the summer working out and binge-watching The Vampire Diaries. I’m not sure how or why I became so obsessed with the show, but I think Netflix had something (everything) to do with it… SO, of course I had to recreate their interpretation of what a vampire is!

I began my love affair of MAHALO Skincare in the summer, but it continued into fall with the release of their Rare Indigo Balm. They had a special offer to coincide with the release that include their not-yet-released Petal Mask (coming February 2016!). I purchased the balm and received the mask along with it. Both are amazing. Get them. Love them. Share them with everyone you know!

This delicious cinnamon latté is from a local coffee shop near by apartment and it’s so delicious I had to share! I love latté art – it’s just so pretty!

I talked a lot about my first tree as an adult being a Harry Potter themed Christmas tree this month on instagram. I did a mix of painting ornaments myself and purchasing a few via Etsy. This deathly hallows ornament came in a 2 pack via Etsy and I just love the way they look on my tree 🙂

Last, but not least was this very festive green beauty post where I offered up a $100 EGift Card to The Detox Market as part of my goal to spread holiday cheer 🙂 I can’t believe the photo came out so well! I used a bunch of green beauty items I’ve been loving this holiday season, all of which can be found at The Detox Market ♥ If you happened to miss this giveaway, stay tuned in 2016 for more chances to win awesome prizes 😉

That’s exactly how I always feel, too! This year feels like it went by fast but I know if I look through old photos, it will seem like forever ago. Congrats on all you accomplished this year! I’m in love with that antonym photo – that eye shadow quad looks so nice.

thanks so much Amber! Crazy how time passes so quickly without us noticing! The Antonym quad is SO lovely, especially if you like earthy matte colors. They’re very pigmented and could even be used as eyeliners if you wanted to mix in water or whichever to make eyeliner. They are awesome ♥ thanks for visiting me and happy new year!

thanks Dia – it certainly was eventful! The Vitamin C Body Polish is AMAZING! It’s a great product to have on hand if you feel like your body skin is dry in the winter and needs some extra love. It really works great.
