Meow Meow Tweet Skincare Review

I’ve always heard good things about indie green beauty brand, Meow Meow Tweet, but I never got around to trying them until now. I was recently sent some small samples from the brand and I’m happy to say the experience was really great! Their brand is simplistic, effective, and 100% natural. They make everything in small batches with all natural, wild-crafted, and organic ingredients and all of their products are 100% vegan and certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny. Moreover, sustainable living is very important to them and therefore they package all products in either glass or PCW paper (AKA recycled paper materials).

Nourishing Face Cleanser

This cleanser is super gentle! It’s very milky in texture and super nourishing to skin. It’s been lovely to use in this cold weather because my skin has taken a beating and is as dry as ever, complete with flaky skin (Ugh). This cleanser definitely helps with that and it smells lovely. It has an herbal, fresh, and citrus scent to it, but it’s not overwhelming. I think this would work best paired with another cleanser as I’m not sure it would take off all your makeup sufficiently, but it would be great for your second cleanse as it’s healing, calming and hydrating to skin and has many lovely plant oils and extracts that your skin will love. I think it would work well for anyone during the winter, but acne prone and oily skin types will want to choose something more clarifying when spring/summer hits.

Ingredients: *helianthus annuus (sunflower) oil, hammamelis virginiana (witch hazel) distillate, *vegetable glycerin, castile soap [aqua (water), *potassium cocoate, *potassium sunflowerate, *potassium ricinoleate, potassium citrate, citric acid, *rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract], *simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil, *ricinus communis (castor) oil, leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate, citrus bergamia (bergamot, bergaptene free), *juniperus communis (juniper), *ocimum basilicum (basil), *sunflower lecithin

Soothing Face Toner

The scent of this toner is a bit tart with the apple cider vinegar, but it’s brilliant for balancing your skin as ACV actually helps balance your skin’s pH. Moreover, it’s very soothing and hydrating and an easy toner to use. I’m a toner abuser (too many sprays!) so my little sample didn’t last long enough to say anything more 😛

Ingredients: hammamelis virginiana (wild harvested witch hazel) distillate, aqua (water), *rosa damascena (rose) hydrosol, *vegetable glycerin, *acetic acid (apple cider vinegar), *lavendula angustofolia (lavender), *pelargonium graveolens (geranium), *cymbopogon martini (palmarosa), *helichrysum italicum (immortelle) essential oils

*certified organic ingredient

Face_Exfoliant green beauty

Gentle Face Exfoliant

This face exfoliant is SO perfect for anyone with sensitive skin! Unlike other salt and sugar scrubs which can be way too harsh for sensitive and acne prone skin types, this exfoliant includes finely milled oats and walnut alongside kelp and flowers in a powder form. You mix a small amount together with a little water in your hand and massage onto your skin in circular motions. It’s very softening and you can definitely feel the exfoliation going on, but without any of the redness or irritation that often comes along with it. It’s a great one if you deal with redness and irritation and it smells lovely ♥

Ingredients: *avena sativa (oats),  juglans nigra (black walnut) hull, *matricaria chamomilla (chamomile) flowers, ascophyllum nodosum (kelp)

*certified organic ingredient

Face_Oil green beauty

Organic Face Oil

The organic face oil was my favorite, personally, of all the little samples I got. The blend of plant oils includes hempseed oil, juniper, and patchouli among others so it smells AMAZING. It’s also light, but deeply hydrating and softening to skin.

Ingredients: *cannabis sativa (hempseed) oil, *simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil, *sesamum indicum (sesame) oil, *juniperus communis (juniper) essential oil, *pogostemon cablin (patchouli) essential oil, *vetiveria zizanoides (vetiver) essential oil, *daucus carota (carrot seed) essential oil

*certified organic ingredient

Spot_Serum-green beauty

Healing Spot Serum

Last, but not least, is their healing spot serum which was so, so gentle and not drying like many spot treatments can be. It actually really did help heal some spots I had and I was seriously depressed when my tiny vial ran out. I will absolutely be purchasing the full size of this. It rocked – that’s all you need to know!

Ingredients: *simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil, *eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus), *melaleuca minor (cajeput), *thymus zygis (thyme), *mentha piperita (peppermint) & *syzygium aromaticum (clove bud) essential oils

*certified organic ingredient

What I Love:

  • Certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny
  • Use all natural, organic and wild-crafted ingredients in their products
  • 100% Vegan plant ingredients
