NEW May Lindstrom Products!
The Honey Mud Cleanser + The Blue Cocoon Beauty Balm
Normally, I wouldn’t interrupt my steady stream of Halloween posts (and Misfits posts haha) for anything and I was going to delay all my beauty posts and reviews until November because I’m that obsessed with Halloween. That being said, there are 2 new products from May Lindstrom that I’ve been trialing which aren’t even out yet and I wanted to share a bit about them with you all because I’m bursting at the seams with excitement!
The first one, pictured above, is a brand new cleanser called The Honey Mud Cleansing Silk.
The Honey Mud is the creamiest cleanser in. the. world.
It smells, like many of the May Lindstrom products, just like dessert. I really wanted to eat this cleanser for how much it looks and smells exactly like chocolate pudding, but seriously, don’t haha.
The reason for the incredible fragrance of this cleanser is that it utilizes a number of delicious skin-beneficial ingredients like raw honey, cocoa absolute, vanilla, ylang ylang, frankincense, and sweet orange for a very deep cleanse that also softens, smooths and brightens the skin.
It’s strange that somehow this cleanser smells exactly like all the May Lindstrom products, but then unique at the same time. All of her products somehow have a lot of the same intoxicating chocolate elements in them while also containing their own specific ingredients for a very synergistic line of products. The Honey Mud cleanser fits right into the line seamlessly.
After using it for a couple of weeks, I’ve seen it give my skin more clarity while also softening and brightening and, unsurprisingly, making me crave more chocolate. It’s also helped clear up some dry patches on my skin as well as calm redness and clear spots. It’s very stimulating on the skin, with a slight tingle, though nothing as intense as the Problem Solver Mask which is way more heating. Instead, this feels a lot more like a daily cleanser than a treatment mask, as it should, and gently deep cleanses, calms, and heals.

The second item I trialed was another new gem by ML called The Blue Cocoon Beauty Balm Concentrate.
The Blue Cocoon, though still made with the same exoticism of all ML products, smells nothing like the others. It’s a beautiful glowing blue colored balm that reminds me of when plankton makes the clear blue ocean waters glow sometimes at night.
In many ways, it feels similar to a lot of balms I’ve tried, but in others, it’s in a league all it’s own. The look of it, for one, is totally unique and the scent is as well. I can’t put my finger on exactly what the scent is, but it’s nothing like the other ML products at all.
It smells more herbal and includes a star ingredients called the blue tansy oil which is said to help calm, restore and enliven skin while fighting breakouts and other imperfections.
Also included in the formula is marula, raw cacao seed butter, and baobab oil which are all said to help with hydration as well as smoothing and softening the skin’s texture.
This balm is so lovely! It’s somehow both light and extremely nourishing at the same time and it definitely helps hydrate the skin, but it’s not clogging and doesn’t break me out like some balms have in the past. The scent is herbal, but not, and very calming. I love that the color of this balm looks almost glow-in-the-dark (it’s not). This definitely helped make my skin feel softer, smoother and calmer.
