This first item is one I’ve been trying to convince my boss to invest in for ages! It’s basically a desk chair, but the seat is a swiss ball instead of a conventional seat so it basically forces you to engage your abs and maintain good posture all day long. I really think this is a fantastic way to keep active during your long day at work, especially if it’s an 8-10 hour shift. Not that it can replace fitness because you should still try to get in actual physical activity, but every bit helps!
I’ve been wanting a medicine ball for awhile now as they come in handy during ab exercises like Russian twists and things. They are very useful for various exercises 🙂
Stretching is really important for improving overall fitness levels, strength and performance in any given sport, and your mental health as well. I know you can just stretch and there’s no real necessity for a DVD, but I tend to do a lot better with structure and having a DVD around will help keep me on track with doing it daily.
This is a bit of a strange one, but I definitely think all bloggers and people who do a lot of work on their computers could use this! It’s basically a stationary bike built into a laptop desk so you can bike away as you work! I think it might be a bit odd at first, but definitely would help keep you active during your work days!
No really reasoning behind the want of these; they’re super cute and form-fitting which is what I look for in running pants. I love the neon details, especially for evening runs in my area where there are a ton of cars!
This idea is brilliant! It’s an all natural, eco friendly and compostable water filter. It’s basically activated charcoal which you put into a pitcher of tap water. It then absorbs all the toxins commonly found in the water like copper, lead, mercury and chlorine!
I used to do kickboxing a few times a week and I really enjoyed it. A few minutes of kicking, punching and kneeing this thing and you’ll not only feel less stressed, anxious, etc, you’ll also be exhausted and sweaty! It’s perfect for getting in a quick all-over body workout without much equipment.
This one is super handy! It’s a heart rate monitor in a super cute color – purple! I like the simple design and I would like a HR monitor for runs, HIIT and Insanity just to keep me on track with fitness objectives.
Kettlebells are a great alternative to weights and there are a ton of different routines online for free, but I never get to try them out because I don’t have one! They require the use of both hands which I really like because you get a more even workout on both sides of your body.
We had one of these when I was younger and it was amazing! I used to be able to land all kinds of front flips and do cartwheels. This is a great way to keep your kids active, if you have them, and even for yourself. Back then, I was slimmer without even trying simply because I came home everyday, walked around the hills in my neighborhood and jumped on the trampoline. It’s worth the money if you have the space for one!
Yoga mats can get dirty and stinky really easily, plus they aren’t always made with the most eco conscious materials which is why I like this organic cotton mat as an alternative. Not only does it offer a bit more cushion than a yoga mat, it’s made with earth friendly materials and you can easily toss it into the wash after each use. Plus, I had hard tile in my house so padding is a nice bonus!
I’ve heard tons about Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred and this one looks like fun as well! I haven’t tried any of her DVDs, but I’ve heard tons of women get great results from them.
This is another workout-while-you-work fitness machine that looks pretty cool! You probably couldn’t do HIIT or run or anything more than brisk walking on this while you work, but if you put in a ton of hours, it’s certainly better than nothing.
I actually have a swiss ball already, but I like the shape of this one better as it’s more shaped for ab work which is what you mostly use swiss balls for in the first place.
It’s obviously aimed to kids, but I am so not above buying one of these when I can afford it! Not only does it look like a TON of fun, but it combines 2 of my favorite recreational activities – trampolines + swimming! It looks like a fantastic addition for kids, especially if you live by a lake or have a lake house or something!
My mom actually owns these sandals and I thought the idea was so gimmicky until I tried them on for myself! Now, every time I house sit for her, I wear these all over the house LOL! They are SO comfortable and they really do massage and relax your feet somehow.
As I said, I did a kickboxing class before so this sort of thing sounds like fun and cross training is a great way to do cardio and strength training all at once!
