Kinvara Organic Skincare Review

Kinvara Skincare is a small company out of Ireland started by Joanne Reilly, a doctorate of science, who became fascinated with the healing powers of natural ingredients. With a love for nature, she set out to create all natural, organic and sustainable products that would help the temperamental skin of her and her hsuband. This unique challenge led to the creation of her all natural skincare products which are cleverly crafted in Ireland

I was kindly sent a few products to test out and review from Kinvara Skincare and I am loving all of them! They’re quite nourishing, high quality, and lovely packaging that can easily be reused and recycled once you finish them.

Kinvara Organic Skincare Review

Absolute Cleansing Oil

This cleansing oil is seriously amazing! I love a good cleansing oil, but I’m partial to the cleansing oils, in particular, that are on the thicker side like this one which focuses on helping to balance skin. They tend to be more nourishing and hydrating which my skin loves. Also, this cleansing oil is formulated with 85% organic content and can be used for skin cleansing, shaving, gentle exfoliation with a muslin cloth, facial massage, and makeup removal. I’ve used it for all the above with great results and I will happily repurchase once I run out!

Ingredients: Helianthus annus (Sunflower) seed oil, Sesamum indicum (Sesame) seed oil, Citrullus vulgaris ( Watermelon) seed oil, Carthamus tinctorius (Thistle) seed oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf extract, Citrus aurantium dulcis (Orange) peel oil, Citrus limon (lemon) peel oil, Cedrus atlantic (Cedarwood) bark oil, Eucalyptus globulus (Eucalyptus) leaf oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf oil, (Citral, Limonene, Linalool in essential oils).

Active Rosehip Day Cream

This cream is so lovely. The cream itself is very nourishing and hydrating, but not heavy at all. You can definitely feel the nourishment sinking into your skin from the moment it touches your face. I love that it includes protective plant oils which help keep your skin from free radical damage while also offering moisture, antioxidants, and other valuable plant ingredients which help fight aging, plump cells, and also prime your skin for makeup. This cream feels so creamy going on and sinks in quickly. I enjoy using it on days when I’m feeling a little dry, dull, or just in need of a little more love than a face serum or oil can give me.

Ingredients: Aqua, Rosa rubiginosa (Rosehip) seed oil*, Sodium stearoyl lactylate, Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower) seed oil*, Glyceryl stearate, Cetyl alcohol, Glycerine*, Tocopherol ( Vitamin E)*, Citrus limon (Lemon) peel oil*, Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender)* oil, Sodium hyaluronate (Hyaluronic acid), Benzyl alcohol, salicyclic acid, sorbic acid, (Citral, Geranoil, Limonene, Linalool in essential oils). All plant based food grade emulsifiers & preservatives. *ORGANIC

Rosehip Face Serum

This face serum is not your every day serum. It’s light, feels like somewhere between a lotion and a face oil, and is packed full of vitamins and nutrients to help calm, hydrate, and balance your skin. The concentrated blend of plant ingredients ensures your skin is protected, but also soothed and nourished. I love that it’s super light on the skin; it’s perfect for combination or oily skin types that don’t necessarily need a heavy cream, but still want to feel hydrated and soft. This does just that.

Ingredients: Glycerine*, Simmondsia chinesis (Jojoba*) seed oil, Aqua, Oenithera biennis (Evening Primrose*) oil, Rosa rubiginosa (Rosehip*) seed oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Hippophae rhamnoides (Seabuckthorn*) extract, Prunus amygdalus dulcis (Sweet almond*) oil, Citrus Aurantium dulcis (Orange*) fruit water, Sucrose laurate*, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera*) leaf extract, Daucus acrota sativa (Carrot*) extract, Rosmarins officinalis (Rosemary*) extract, Xantham gum, Benzyl alcohol, Salicylic acid, Sorbic acid, Leptospermum petersonii (Lemon scented tea tree) oil, (Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linaloolin in essential oils). *All organic.

Thanks for the brand introduction! I’d love to try the Rosehip Face Serum. How easy to remove is the Absolute Cleansing Oil?

absolutely! The Absolute Cleansing Oil is easy to remove if you use a warm muslin cloth to remove it. That pretty much removes the whole “oil residue” conundrum, but your skin will still feel soft, hydrated, nourished, etc. I personally like the residue factor so I just massage into my skin and rinse. If you don’t like that, though, definitely use a muslin or wash cloth with warm water to rinse off. It helps!
