I’ve been using this Glow Time Mineral BB Cream by JI for a few months now and I’m loving it. I thought it was going to be one of those very typical BB creams you find from western brands that never really lives up to it’s Korean (or even Chinese or Taiwanese) counterparts. You see, I’ve had a love affair with BB creams since before I even had a blog. I used to be seriously obsessed with the pink Skin79 BB Cream, but since switching to greener organic makeup, I hadn’t really found any sort of BB cream option that even came close to measuring up to the Korean varieties…until now!

I’m excited to share that this BB cream absolutely measures up to it’s name! Not only does this BB cream smell incredible (like grapefruit!), but it actually gives incredible coverage. Don’t underestimate this one; it seems like it won’t cover, but a little goes a LONG way – TRUST. If you try to use a bunch on your face, it will look ridiculous. This is coming from someone who knows (me). I expected the coverage to be really light so I ended up using way too much on my first go with this. Since then, I’ve used a little at a time to get the coverage I need and I’ve found the best way to apply this BB cream is with either your fingers or a beauty blender sponge. My beauty blender sponge replacement has been this awesome natural sea sponge from the amazing Farm to Girl. I just get the sponge wet, wring out excess water, and then use it to apply the BB cream. It gives my skin the exact amount of coverage I want and the sponge makes it go on without streaks or anything. It’s the perfect combination, in my opinion. You can get your own sea sponge at Farm to Girl. They also have natural sea bath sponges and a number of natural face creams that are divine. Reviews on those coming soon 😉

I love that you apply it with a sea sponge! That’s different. I’ve been looking for a bb cream to try (never used one before!) and I’m also looking to try more liquid illuminaters (aside from Benefit). I pretty excited I found your review, I think I’m going to pick this one up and give it a go 🙂

I just sort of happened upon it haha. I’ve been looking for a more eco friendly alternative to the beauty blender and this works just as well without the waste or toxic materials! Also, I like that sponges naturally fight off bacteria whereas beauty blenders tend to harbor it. Definitely give this one a try – it’s lovely and one of the more natural options that actually has good coverage! Glad to be of help 🙂 Also, if you want natural illuminators, I recommend RMS Living Luminizer – it’s amazing ♥

Really enjoy your post!! I am all up for organic products and for the care of my skin… but, my skin is very sensitive and I have to be very careful with what I use. Do you know if this product works well on delicate skin?

thanks Iveth – I’m glad you enjoyed the post! Depending on how sensitive your skin is, this should be fine, but it depends. If your skin is okay with essential oils, this BB cream should work well. It never breaks my skin out or causes any issue for me, but if you have trouble with essential oils, you may want to try a different one. I know a lot of people love this BB cream, but you know your skin best so maybe see if you can get a small sample first and do a patch test on your arm? That’s usually the best way, I find, to see if my skin will react well to something. I hope this helps!
