I’ve been using this Glow Time Mineral BB Cream by JI for a few months now and I’m loving it. I thought it was going to be one of those very typical BB creams you find from western brands that never really lives up to it’s Korean (or even Chinese or Taiwanese) counterparts. You see, I’ve had a love affair with BB creams since before I even had a blog. I used to be seriously obsessed with the pink Skin79 BB Cream, but since switching to greener organic makeup, I hadn’t really found any sort of BB cream option that even came close to measuring up to the Korean varieties…until now!

I’m excited to share that this BB cream absolutely measures up to it’s name! Not only does this BB cream smell incredible (like grapefruit!), but it actually gives incredible coverage. Don’t underestimate this one; it seems like it won’t cover, but a little goes a LONG way – TRUST. If you try to use a bunch on your face, it will look ridiculous. This is coming from someone who knows (me). I expected the coverage to be really light so I ended up using way too much on my first go with this.

Since then, I’ve used a little at a time to get the coverage I need and I’ve found the best way to apply this BB cream is with either your fingers or a beauty blender sponge. My beauty blender sponge replacement has been this awesome natural sea sponge from the amazing Farm to Girl. I just get the sponge wet, wring out excess water, and then use it to apply the BB cream. It gives my skin the exact amount of coverage I want and the sponge makes it go on without streaks or anything. It’s the perfect combination, in my opinion. You can get your own sea sponge at Farm to Girl. They also have natural sea bath sponges and a number of natural face creams that are divine. Reviews on those coming soon 😉
