Jane Iredale BeautyPrep Skincare Products
One of my favorite organic cosmetics brands, Jane Iredale, has just released a line of skincare products that are perfect for makeup lovers everywhere – the Jane Iredale BeautyPrep Skincare line. The line includes 3 products: a gentle cleanser, face toner, and hydrating moisturizer. What makes these products very unique is that they are very gentle on the skin. They smell of refreshing lemongrass and are so light to use that they almost feel like water on the skin.
The Ideal Skincare Set for Makeup Addicts Everywhere
An Organic Soothing Cleanser
BeautyPrep Face Cleanser // The cleanser can hardly be called a cleanser; it almost feels more like a miscellar cleansing water and works just the same way, with no real lather or elaborate rinsing needed. You could easily massage this into your skin to remove dirt, oil, and makeup and then remove with a damp washcloth. The formula includes soothing cucumber and oat, and skin-brightening radish root and lemongrass. It is probably the most gentle cleanser I’ve ever used, if you can even call it a cleanser. I personally think they should’ve called this a cleansing water because that’s what it is.
Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Seed Extract*, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Glycerin, Sodium Lauroyl Oat Amino Acids, Spirulina Platensis (Algae) Extract, Alcohol.
A Brightening & Calming Face Toner
BeautyPrep Face Toner // The face toner comes in one of those bottles with a pump you can push down on to bring up the liquid onto your cotton pad or cotton ball, much like old school nail polish remover bottles you would see in a nail salon. It also includes the same lemongrass scent of the other products in this set which I feel gives your skin a little bit of a refresher and helps brighten any dullness. Other notable ingredients include skin-brightening apple, rosehips, and radish. Coconut water in the formula alongside white tea, pear, and carrot are great for antioxidant protection and healing. Calendula, chamomile and lavender soothe and calm any redness.
Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water, Pyrus Communis (Pear) Water, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Glycerin**, Rosa Canina (Rosehips) Fruit Extract*, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract*, Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Flower Extract*, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract*, Cympopagon Flexuosus (Lemon Grass) Oil*, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil*, Alcohol**.
The Ultimate Face Moisturizer for Prepping Skin for Makeup
BeautyPrep Face Moisturizer // The face moisturizer is where this kit really shines, in my opinion, because it’s heavy duty without being heavy and creates the perfect base for applying your makeup. It’s absorbed really well into the skin and doesn’t leave any film or residue, but it definitely hydrates the skin quite well. This moisturizer was my favorite of the lineup for sure. The formula includes notable ingredients like calming rose water, hydrating plant oils like sunflower and avocado, and brightening essences from lemongrass, orange, and apple which also lend antioxidant protection.
Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Coconut Alkanes, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Jojoba Esters, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Raphanus Sativus (Radish) Root Extract, Rosa Centifolia Extract, Rosa Canina (Rosehips) Fruit Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Butter, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Isostearyl Neopentanoate, Euphrasia Officinalis (Eyebright) Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Cympopagon Flexuosus (Lemon Grass) Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Rosa Alba Flower Extract, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract (and) Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil.
I can see makeup artists using this set for prepping model’s skin before a fashion show because it’s so gentle and easy on the skin.
Overall, the main thing I love about these products is that they are effective, gentle, and really shine when it comes to prepping skin for makeup application. I can see makeup artists using this set for prepping model’s skin before a fashion show because it’s literally so gentle and easy on the skin. It’s not any kind of intense face treatment, more like the TLC your skin needs if you happen to be applying and removing makeup a lot. I don’t think I would recommend this be used in place of an actual skincare routine, but I would use this in place of my regular routine if I wanted my makeup to look great or I was getting ready for some kind of event because these products won’t be too abrasive or upset the skin in any way so that’s where they really shine.
