HerbFarmacy Skincare Review:

An Organic British Skincare Brand from Conception to Completion ♥

Today’s review features a brand that I recently discovered and one that I cannot say enough good things about. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a skincare brand this much since I tried Suti Skincare a few years ago. If you’ve been following along, you’ll know I still rave about them to this day! Anyhow, so Herbfarmacy is a unique green beauty brand that hails from Herefordshire, UK. They are unique because they follow their products on every level of conception from growing the organic herbs used in the products on their farm in Herefordshire to formulated the natural products which are destined to be loved by all. Seriously, if like me, you deal with breakouts, sensitive skin bouts, acne prone skin with redness, easily irritated, annoyingly temperamental skin, you NEED to try this brand!

About Herbfarmacy

Herbfarmacy was founded by Dr. Paul Richards, a long time member of the Soil Association, who has been happily growing organic herbs in Herefordshire for over 30 years. With his help and expertise, the Herbfarmacy team works tirelessly to grow, harvest, and steep the organic herbs for many weeks so that the oils they produce are rich in antioxidants and have incredibly potency that’s gentle, but effective. The products are proudly produced by locals from the area and they test their own products on themselves.

Things to Know About Herbfarmacy:

  • All products are 100% natural and organic, Soil Association Certified
  • They are one of the few companies which handle all aspects of the product from growing their own organic herbs on their farm in Herefordshire, UK, to formulating and packaging the actual skincare products.
  • Products are nearly vegan except for the occasional use of beeswax in products so not entirely vegan! Products that include beeswax in the formula: Lip Conditioner, Working Hands Cream, Wash Off Cleansing Mousse, Whole Body Lotion and All Balms.
  • Cruelty free – tested on humans only!
  • Perfect for sensitive skin types and those with unique skin concerns like eczema, psoriasis or other issues.

What I Love ♥

I tried out a ton of small samples from Herbfarmacy and a few full-sized products, but the major stand out products for me were the Starweed Face Cream, Pure Hydration Serum, Just Eyes Eye Cream and the Mallow Beauty Balm. The Mallow Beauty Balm is incredible for sensitive, dry and/or irritated skin. It’s wonderfully hydrating and I’ve used it as a straight face/body balm and also a cleansing balm, all to great effect. The Just Eyes Eye Cream is nourishing, but also surprisingly light and gentle. I have trouble finding eye creams that don’t burn my eyes and this is one that definitely fits the bill! No milia in sight; just hydrated eyes 🙂

The Starweed Face Cream is incredible on dry skin that’s also acne prone. It didn’t break me out or make my skin feel congested; it just hydrated my skin perfectly and was absorbed right away. There was slight residue, but when it dries completely, there’s nothing left behind as it’s all absorbed into the skin. Last, but not least, I LOVED their newest Pure Hydration Serum. It smells incredible (all of their products do!), it hydrates skin instantly, and I think it might be a great natural alternative to Hydraluron which is really saying something!! If you don’t know what Hydraluron is, it’s a hyaluronic acid gel that you put on between your toner and moisturizer that helps your skin absorb moisture and that’s basically what this does on a way more natural level. It does include hyaluronic acid in the formula as well as marshmallow, Damask rose, neroli and tons more herbal ingredients that will benefit your skin. I could wax poetic about the crazy number of awards their products and brand have received, but just go take a look for yourself instead 😉

This is great! I am trying to stop using benzoyl peroxide for facewash but it is a slow process and not a fun one. I am replacing it with natural washes and essential oils. I will have to keep this one in mind if the ones I am using don’t work.

I’ve been hearing some more reviews for this brand lately and love the sound of their products! Which would you recommend for combination acneic skin?
