There are a ton of custom Halloween costume or is usually the best option if you’re going for uniqueness, but I think if you just want a cute costume to wear to a Halloween party and don’t want to dedicate too much time to the event, purchasing a costume is a great way to go.you can buy online right now, but so many of them look cheesy and boring so I’ve sifted through the lot of them to come up with a list of awesome Halloween costumes for women that are not only awesome, but also somewhat unique and cool as far as purchasing them will be. This Raggedy Ann costume has a more adult feel to it that you could wear as-is or add some creepy makeup to make it a lot more scary, if you wanted to. It could be worn with super cute makeup, alternatively, for a more family-friendly look as well.
I love to see gender-bending cosplay and costumes like this so I had to include this fun Joker costume! Again, you could be more faithful to the comic or cartoon and make your Joker look comical or you could go for more of a scary look inspired by the Arkham video games or the movies.
I absolutely LOVE Nightmare Before Christmas! I was pretty obsessed with the film, growing up, and I dressed up as Sally back in high school. It seemed like, back then, it wasn’t so popular when I did it because the costumes for Sally were not nearly as cool as they are now! I remember I purchased one from Party City that was pretty crappy, but all the same; it’s tons of fun and this costume is super cute! You could also make one yourself that would probably come out even better!
I’m not a huge fan of My Little Pony, but I was a HUGE fan when I was a little girl. I used to collect all the ponies and play with them in the bath haha. I’m sure I’m not the only little girl who did that, but it’s crazy how mainstream the rebooted show has made ponies. This Rainbow Dash costume is pretty cute and it looks a lot more rave-inspired than kid cartoon!
I LOVE this creepy American Horror Story dress from the Hot Topic Halloween collection! I think I’d probably wear this even if it wasn’t Halloween because I’m a total weirdo, but either way, it’s a great pick to wear during fall or to have as part of your creepy costume! It could definitely be done up with some spooky makeup and fake blood.
Power female comic book characters are having a moment lately and Wonder Woman is super sexy! She’s very All-American and I love how bright her costume is, though I think Black Widow, Harley Quinn and Catwoman have edgier clothes so it’s really a matter of taste, I suppose.
Freakshow was not my favorite American Horror Story season, but I LOVED the costumes! The carnivals in that era are really something quite unique and I think the concept for the show was great. I love this cool costume and I think it would go so awesome with the creepy mime makeup I did last year!
Any kind of creepy doll costume is my cup of tea. They’re so much fun and you can give it your own spin by doing your own makeup, switching up the colors, etc. I love this costume because it’s creepy/cute and could be dressed up or down as you like.
I’m a HUGE fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies and I actually already purchased this last week. Not for a costume, but because this is something I’d wear during fall just because #DontJudgeMe LOL. I also bought a pair of slip-on sally flats. #HalloweenisaLifestyle ♥
Last, but certainly not least, is this awesome Harley Quinn costume! It’s inspired by the Arkham video games so it’s a lot more edgy and creepy than the traditional Harley Quinn costumes. You probably know how much I love Harley Quinn by now, but if not, check out my Harley Quinn costume from a few years back.
