Gentle and Effective All-In-One Skincare With African Botanics

For the past month or so, I have been trialing some lovely products by African Botanics which I have been LOVING!

They were kindly sent to me by African Botanics for review and I’m so thankful to have discovered more awesome skincare products to share with you all.

First off, African Botanics is a natural, non-toxic beauty brand which offers a host of luxurious natural skin and body care products formulated with organic, cold-pressed botanicals including wild African Marula Oil, African Green Rooibos Tea Extract, Pure African Muti Mud, Baobab Oil, & Shea Butter among others. Specially selected for their potent antioxidant benefits as well as healing and regenerative properties, all products are created to work with your skin and nature to heal, protect, detoxify and hydrate.

African Botanics Pure Marula Oil

African Botanics Pure Marula Oil

The first product I was able to trial was their Pure Marula Oil which I absolutely love! It’s purely formulated from Wild Grown African Marula Oil which is high in both antioxidants and healing omega fatty acids. Having previously tried the Marula Oil from the Leakey Collection, I knew I would also love this because my skin seems to react really well with marula oil. I feel like there’s something especially unique about marula because my skin feels softer, looks brighter, and feels way more hydrated than before. I am not sure which of the two marula oils is my favorite because they both produce similar results on my skin, but I will say both are lovely formulations for the skin and either one would be a great addition to any skincare routine.

African Botanics Intense Skin Repair Body Balm

The second item I trialed was their Intense Skin Repair Body Balm which was also well-received. It’s formula includes marula oil, cape camomile extract, calendula, olive oil, and a host of other ingredients which help calm inflammation while healing and hydrating skin. I actually think this balm is really well-rounded and can be used for a multitude of things. I used this on my body which I found was super softening, hydrating and deliciously scented, though inoffensive and subtle. I used this on my face and found it to be surprisingly gentle, softening, hydrating and not at all irritating. It was great at calming redness as well. Another use for this is as a night lip treatment which I found worked really well! I love this balm and I will definitely be purchasing a full size of this at some point. It’s really useful for a lot of different uses for your body, face and lips. I definitely recommend it if you want a healing balm for anywhere. This is a great one.

Overall, I really loved trialing these products from African Botanics. Their products are gentle, effective and have a multitude of uses which gives them a lot more value than products which only have one function. I think if you’re looking for a multi-tasking skin product for face, body and anything else, African Botanics is a fantastic brand to try out.

It is lovely and super gentle and healing! It would be fantastic for any kind of acne because of the omegas in both the marula and the shea which help to rebuild cells in skin 🙂 It’s all very protective which will help heal acne while protecting it from outside environmental factors. Hope this helps!
