Happy Wellness Wednesday Everyone!
With my healthy eating and exercise plan in full swing, I’ve been working to eat right, tone up, and get healthier. It’s been difficult, but good and I think I’m doing well with my meal planning and prepping. That said, it’s also my birthday this month which leads me to today’s theme: Smart Cheats. Smart cheats, according to me, are enjoyable ways to indulge in the sweeter things in life without wanting to kill yourself afterwards (not that you should anyway). Obviously, if you eat a cupcake or something, who the hell cares, but it’s less guilt-inducing if you know you’re enjoying something with a little more substance that won’t make you feel like you’re completely ruining your healthy eating plan. So, this week’s theme is all about how to enjoy some delicious foods in a smart way without feeling bad after the fact.
Chocolate Dipped Frozen Bananas via Sugar Hero
Examples of Smart Cheats:
- Baked Sweet Potato, Carrot, or Zucchini Fries
- Fruit + Chocolate
- Banana Ice Cream
- Fruit Smoothies
- Dark Chocolate (50% Cacao or more is best)
- Frozen Fruit – my favorite are grapes and bananas as they make a delicious snack!
