Fictional Characters I Identify With the Most

kenzie lost girl fictional characters i identify with the most

There’s a question I love asking people a lot because it combines my love for TV, movies, and books with my interest of people and the question is this: Which fictional characters do you identify with most? This question actually gives a lot of insight into people because it #1 tells you what kind of books, TV & movies that person likes and #2 it tells you how they perceive themselves and their character. Also, it’s just kind of a fun conversation starter. I’m always amused and fascinated by the answers people give. On the flip side, another question that’s fun to ask is what fictional characters do you think I’m most like? This will yield entirely different answers, as well, and will also give you insight into how your friends and family perceive you. I thought it would be fun to share my answers to this question and also the ones I get people telling me I’m most like ♥

Fictional Characters I Identify With the Most:

Kenzi_lost girl

Kenzie from Lost Girl – I identify with Kenzi because she’s really quirky, funny, and even though she puts on a tough exterior, she has a big heart for the people she cares about. Also, she shares my love for cute shoes…

elizabeth bennet pride and prejudice

Eliabeth Bennet from Pride & Prejudice – This is a bit old fashioned, but I love Pride & Prejudice and I always felt that Elizabeth was the one I related to most. She has such a spunky personality, an attitude, and an unwillingness to settle. I definitely think (and I know my friends would agree) that we share the same kind of stubbornness.

eternal sunshine of the spotless mind clementine

Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind – Clementine is a really troubled, quirky woman. She has such a raw, realness and vulnerability to her that I relate to very deeply. Moreover, she has an obsession with coloring her hair.

10 things i hate about you kat

Kat from 10 Things I Hate About You – Kat is a character that I definitely relate to for her attitude and anti-conformity, anti-establishment ways. Also, in high school, a lot of people would consistently tell me I was a bitch because I was pretty forthcoming with my opinion and didn’t want to fake it to be popular. So, there’s that.

lisbeth salander

Lisbeth from the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo – While I’m not a computer hacker, I am incredibly stubborn when I have my mind set on something and I hate bullies. As someone who was thoroughly bullied in school, I find it’s a bit of a trigger for me.

uglies book series

Tally from Uglies (book series by Scott Westerfeld) – Tally is a rebellious spirit who ends up, unintentionally, defying her government. I don’t want to give too much away because this is a great book series, but she’s someone who sort of falls into a situation rather than choosing it. She’s trying to find out what she wants in life and it turns out it’s not in line with what society wants her to do. I definitely relate to that a lot.

Fictional Characters People think I’m Most Like:

Katniss from the Hunger Games – My boyfriend’s cousin always compares me to Katniss, though I’m not sure why. She said it’s because she thinks I’m ballsy and brave, but I really don’t see it. I’m just doing me.

alex modern family

Alex from Modern Family – My boyfriend thinks I’m a lot like Alex from Modern Family because I’m smart and I have a hard time relating to my own family. Gee, thanks. It’s so true.

Tris from Divergent (the book not the movie) – Tris is a character who wants to strike out on her own and live her own life, despite what others might want for her or expect from her. She kind of defies the status quo in that way and I think that’s why friends compare me to her.

Hermione from Harry Potter – I personally think I was more like Hermione when I was younger (bratty know-it-all, the usual), but some people do compare me to her, even now. It’s probably because I’m smart, passionate, and I tend to be pretty vocal about my opinions.

So, there you have it! I’d love to hear your answers to these questions – I find them so much fun to read people’s answers 🙂

It’s funny, I have no character to which I identify coming to mind right now!
And the only character I was ever compared to was Laura Winslow in Family Matters. I guess becuase I was good at school and well-behaved lol

Such great characters to gravitate towards and have others compare to you!! Also, great role models all around (for young and old – alike)! I’m not sure I’ve ever considered characters I share a likeness to in personality – this post has made me ponder it and I might just make a Tumblr about it. Is that a thing – a tumblr? lol I say Tumblr because the blog post would be similar to taking your idea and I’m not into that. It would be really neat if we got some bloggers to do a post like this because I feel it really does give insight into the person behind the blog! Maybe in time! ^_^

Lol I’m glad you liked my post and I love tumblr! I mainly use it for fashion and fitness inspiration, though. Definitely think it would be fun to see what bloggers say!

Ah, Kenzie will always be a favorite! She made that show!!!

My husband says I am Buffy from BTVS hands The first time I had him watch it with me, he turns to me and says – “Oh, my God, YOU ARE BUFFY!” It didn’t help that I was blonde then I wasn’t offended because I actually do identify with her character. Also, Felicity from “Arrow” – socially awkward, nerdy/geeky, but fiercely loyal to those she loves. And smart too! 😛 I think there might be a little Caroline in there too from TVD – worry wart, not quite as OCD, but a perfectionist nonetheless. 🙂

Love this! Aw, Clementine! I recently started watching the TV show Parks and Recreation, and I now strive to be more like Chris Traeger. He’s pretty much my new fictional role model and mentor.

These are some of my favorite characters, and I totally relate to most of them. I lean towards Katniss & Tris though. Mostly because of that independent strong female vibe. Not that I’m really any of that, but I’m definitely independent 🙂
