Farmaesthetics Natural and Organic Skincare

I recently discovered this awesome herbal skincare company called Farmaesthetics and I was lucky to be sent some samples to test out for review. If you’re unfamiliar with them, it all began when the daughter of a farming family began selling her own handmade skincare  products at an organic farmstand in 1999. The winner of many awards and stocked in high end spas and resorts, Farmaesthetics has made quite the reputation for itself and their certified organic products are no different.

Rosehip and Clay Mint Face Mask

The first product I tried out was this mask and I absolutely love it! It’s so brilliant because it comes in a powder form that you can mix with water, tea or whatever liquid you want to form a paste and use as a mask. I’ve done water and tea both with equally nice results. The rosehip in this really does help brighten the skin and helped me clear out some small breakouts I got last weekend while the mint in this cools, calms and creates a mild tingle during use that is pretty relaxing. This is one of my favorite products of the three because it’s effects were seen pretty immediately and lasted through to the next day by shrinking breakouts that I had. I am very impressed by both the natural ingredients in this and it’s effectiveness!

Complexion Conserve Face Serum

I really love the scent of this serum. It’s a strange, but pleasant scent that I can’t really place. It’s sweet, but not sickeningly and really subtle. The serum feels really light and calming. I think a lot of skin types could benefit from this serum because it’s really light, softening, and the ingredients are basic but do the trick. This serum seemed to really tone and firm my skin while hydrating it and balancing out any oiliness. I think this serum is light enough for those with oily, acne prone types, gentle enough for those with sensitive and hydrating enough for someone with drier skin, but I would recommend using this in tandem with something else if you have super dry skin. It may not be nourishing or protective enough since it is so light.

Lip Softener

This was my second favorite product of the bunch! It really does soften your lips right up with some super simple ingredients – natural vegetable oils, beeswax and vitamin E all help to heal cracked lips and fine lines on the lips. I love this because I only have to use the smallest amount on my lips each day and it goes such a long way. This balm type lip treatment melts on skin contact and soaks into the lips immediately. It feels really soft going on and can be used alone, under makeup or as a nighttime treatment.

Overall, I am pretty impressed with the Farmaesthetics line of products. They have a strong commitment to organic products and they include a lot of great ingredients in their formulas. Aside from that, their prices are totally appropriate and affordable. They are mid-range products so they are not extremely cheap, but the quality is definitely worth the little extra. I highly recommend these products for their natural certified organic ingredients and also their ultimate effectiveness on the skin.
