Fall skincare is essential if you want to keep your skin happy when the weather turns cold. Contrary to what other blogs will tell you, you don’t need to change you ENTIRE routine up, but simply make a few tweaks here and there. Even adding in a few hydrating products will make a big difference in how balanced, hydrated, soothed, and happy your skin is during the colder months of the year. These are the products I add to my routine each year when the weather turns and they help keep my skin happy, hydrated, clear, and calm.

Fall Skincare Products You Need to Have In Your Routine

Hydrating Cleanser

The first item you’ll want to switch out is your cleanser. Typically, I use hydrating cleansers in the winter because the more balancing ones I normally love in summer don’t hydrate my skin enough. I’ve been loving this cleanser because it not only helps detox pores (making it GREAT for acne prone skin types, but it’s creamy, soothing, and hydrating as well. It’s actually quite a brilliant formula. Moreover, it has a subtle floral scent that I find to be very relaxing in the evening! If you want a cleanser that will cleanse your skin thoroughly without causing any dryness, this is the PERFECT choice!

TRY THISBella Aura Gentle Purifying Cleanser

Hydrating Mist

I raved about this mineral face mist in my glowing skin post during the summer and I’m still loving this mist! It’s a very simple formula and only includes mineral ingredients such as antibacterial silver, ionic copper which helps encourage collagen production, and zinc which helps calm inflammation and redness. It seems like it’s literally just water when you mist it on. There’s no discernible scent to it, but what can I say? It works! So, because of that, I’ll keep on keeping on with this mist 🙂 It’s brilliant when the weather turns cold and you’re dealing with redness or if you’re sick and get the dry redness around your nose and eyes.

TRY THISGraydon Face Food Mist

Hydration Booster

This serum booster is not mandatory, but it helps protect my skin year round from free radicals and aging due to it’s high antioxidant content. The formula includes organic acai berry, rose oil, jasmine, ylang ylang, and neroli so it’s a potent shot of antioxidants for your skin. You simply mix 1-3 drops into your regular moisturizer and it helps amp up your glow, hydration, and keep skin balanced.

Eye Treatment

An eye treatment is an absolute MUST HAVE for your fall skincare routine! The skin around your eyes is thinner than other areas so it needs extra TLC when the weather turns cold and harsh. It’s important to look for products that include a blend of light plant oils and soothing essences to calm any inflammation, soothe and hydrate dry skin, and still feel light and easily absorbed into the skin. I love the tip applicator on this eye cream because it allows just the right amount to be dispensed so no product is wasted. It has a very subtle scent and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes, but hydrates very well!

TRY THISPrimavera Revitalizing Intensive Repair Eye Cream

 Nourishing Face Mask

While detox masks were necessary during summer, you’ll want to swap it out for a more nourishing face mask when the weather starts to get cold. A weekly nourishing face mask will detox your skin while also helping to soothe, hydrate, nourish, and give your skin a potent shot of nutrients. Even acne prone and oily skin types need this kind of treatment so don’t skimp or think you’re exempt! This mask will keep your skin balanced, calm, and even toned so it’s absolutely worth investing in one. You’ll want to look for light plant oils, soothing and toning ingredients, and a formula that helps slough off dead skin while hydrating skin. This mask is wonderful because it helps slough off dead skin cells while adding in moisture at the same time so it’s a wonderful vacation from clay masks. Moreover, there’s no discernible scent so it feels very light and soothing. My skin always looks and feels fresh after using this one!

Hydrating Lip Treatment

Don’t forget to care for your lips this fall and winter, people! It’s so easy to neglect them, but you WILL regret it. A hydrating lip treatment will take you a long way and keep your lips soft, smooth, and moisturized. This is definitely something you want when you’re applying lipstick, am I right? RIGHT. So, hydrate that pout, girl! This lip balm is amazing because not only does it smell like fall, but it hydrates, softens, and protects my lips from the elements and puts me into the spirit of the season. You can’t beat that!

My skin has gone to utter crap lately, and I’m pretty sure it’s due to the lack of sleep and water (sigh). I need to fix those and add this in! :O Thanks for all the awesome product recommendations! That serum booster sounds amazing!

This is great! While the weather in South Florida doesn’t really mimic a traditional Fall I still love products that work well with dry skin like mine:)
