Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin B Cleansing Oil Review
I don’t normally review a product if I haven’t been using it for at least a month, but I really can’t keep quiet about this one any longer!
I was so happy to receive this Active Moisture Vitamin B Cleansing Oil & Makeup Remover from One Love Organics for review recently as I know it has developed a kind of cult following and I was pretty eager to see if it lives up to those high bblogger expectations – thankfully for us all, it passed with flying colors!
About OLO ♥
One Love Organics was developed by Suzanne LeRoux, a lawyer by day and holistic nutrition student by night, who set out to develop an all natural beauty line that could not only talk the talk, but walk the walk and do it all the natural, organic way. A true believer in alternative healing, Suzanne has a vision for offering the best in all natural health, beauty and skin and after 5 years as a beauty chemist, she created what we now know as One Love Organics.
What Sets Vitamin B Cleansing Oil Apart
This isn’t just any cleansing oil. The OLO Vitamin B Cleansing Oil works to, not only cleanse the skin, but also brighten the skin by using ingredients such as papain, a fruit enzyme, to gently exfoliate the skin daily for overall healthier, brighter, more youthful glowing skin. Aside from the gentle cleansing the natural oils provide, the cleansing oil is also formulated to soften, tone, detoxify, restore hydration, and also balance the pH of the skin. Notable ingredients that they utilize include organic sunflower seed oil, beeswax, organic pumpkin seed oil, papaya seed oil, organic papain, and non-GMO vitamin E. The cleansing oil also functions as a makeup remover as well.
The first time I used this cleansing oil, I barely noticed a difference in my skin. The only thing I really noticed was that the cleansing oil smelled amazing (like a pina colada – yum!) and that it was pretty pleasant to use. It wasn’t until earlier this week and then again this morning that I really started to notice the big difference I could see in my skin. Now, mind you, this is the only change I’ve made to my skincare routine in the past month so I know it’s from using this cleansing oil. I can see a notable difference in the clarity of my skin, the overall evenness of my skin tone, softness of my skin’s texture, and the general calm state of it has pretty much blown me away.
The cleansing oil does gently exfoliate skin and it feels a bit cleansing, but somehow it doesn’t dry skin out and, in fact, it does the opposite and leaves it feeling super hydrated. Despite slightly exfoliating the skin, I think it’s perfect for literally any skin type, including those with super sensitive skin. It works great when you gently massage with you hands (or a clarisonic) into the skin for 1-2 minutes, add a little water and you’ll see it go a little milky, massage a little more and then rinse off. I sometimes have done it 2 times (a double cleanse) and there’s no major difference except I like to think it feels that much cleaner and I religiously double cleanse if I’m wearing makeup.
Which brings me to the fact that, why yes, you can use this as an all out makeup remover and, unlike a lot of natural cleansing oils which either burn my eyes or don’t take off makeup completely, this one actually does work really well for removing makeup, even before you add water, but just as good either way.
I can’t really recommend this enough to anyone and everyone. It’s offered my skin a lot more clarity and works really seamlessly with my existing skincare routine that makes me think my other skincare is somehow being made more effective when used in conjunction with this cleansing oil.
Definitely try it; it’s worth a nice long trial and then some. You won’t regret it. Right before I run out, I’ll be online buying more right away just so I don’t experience a lapse in the wondrous effects!
