Easy Kitty Cat Halloween Makeup
Cat makeup for Halloween has always been one of my favorites. It was one of the first costumes I ever wore as a kid and it’s such an easy one to pull off and make your own that I wanted to share a fun look to show you just how easy 🙂
First, I did my regular foundation routine with Hourglass Veil Fluid Foundation in Porcelain, Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow to contour, and I did a thin cat eye with Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Purple. I love this purple color as it’s super flattering on any eye color and it gives your makeup a fun kind of effect without any extra effort.
Simple Face Makeup + Little Details
After these steps, I used the MAC Pro Acrylic Paint in Black (similar product here) to create arched brows. Then, I used a fine brush with the same color to create a little cat nose by doing a little bicycle handlebar shape at the tip of my nose. This creates a shadow and gives the impression of cat-shaped nostrils. Then, I did a line connecting my nose and mouth and lined my top lip in the same black color.
I shaped my upper lip in a more pointy way than my natural lips and with a slight separation as I thought it looked a lot more catty. Then I used Jane Iredale Gel Eyeliner in Purple to color my bottom lip to continue the purple theme of this look.
The last step I did was to put little black dots all over my face with a fine eyeliner brush to give the impression of whiskers. I like this effect instead of the actual black lines on my face as I think those look kind of cheesy and prefer a more subtle look.
And that’s really it! Again, as with my other simple makeup looks, I’ve tried to keep it pretty bare and easy to do so that way you can see how easy it is to customize a look like this to your own tastes.
You can change the colors, keep all the colors black, brown, or whatever you like.
Some other looks online show a more detailed cat eye or a smokey eye look and that’s totally up to you. I personally like a more bare look as I think it’s cuter, more innocent, and slightly more realistic as actual cats don’t wear makeup LOL.
