In today’s post, I’ll be sharing my Christmas Gift Guide for 2016! I have been collecting things for AGES so I’m excited to finally share my favorite gift ideas with you guys! On top of the gifts I’m linking up below, I’m also sharing a few DIY gift ideas for those on a strict budget or who prefer to make their gifts so I hope you enjoy!
DIY Christmas Gift Ideas
Infused Stuff
This includes infused alcohols like limoncello (lemon infused vodka), winter solstice brew (brandy + spices!), and many others. If you don’t want to gift alcohol, you can also infuse herbs into olive oil and specialty vinegars for a unique foodie gift. Great herbs include rosemary, thyme, and basil! You can also infuse sugar blends with vanilla and spices for a unique baking item if you know people who enjoy baking.
DIY Ornaments
DIY ornaments are always a really festive gift item! You can tailor them to the person’s interests, favorite colors or style, or simply monogram an ornament with their initials. There are TONS of ornament ideas out there; a quick google or pinterest search will reveal TONS of tutorials.
DIY Gift Basket
This is so easy to customize to the person you’re gifting. You can do a foodie gift basket, coffee or tea themed basket, a cute holiday themed basket (with socks and hot cocoa!), a beauty basket, and tons of other ideas 🙂
DIY Beauty Products
You can make tons of fun natural beauty products as gifts. DIY lip balms, body scrubs, body oils, face oil, shimmery oil (for the holidays), glitter eye shadow, blush, or DIY a nail polish or lipstick. There are simple tutorials online for ALL of these so yeah, just pinterest it!
DIY Mugs
These are my favorite kind of DIY because I LOVE mugs! I love this idea because most people love either coffee, tea or hot chocolate so you can make cute, customized mugs for everyone you know. You can put cute sayings on them, paint designs, monogram them, cover them in glitter or gold leaf, or simply paint them in the person’s favorite color. Pair this with some hot chocolate mix and you’re good to go 😉
Plants & Seeds
If the person you’re gifting is a lover of the planet, why not give them a green gift? You can purchase a nice house plant to clean the air and brighten up their home, pretty flowers to plant in their garden, or seeds to get them started! If they need a low maintenance plant, you can get some cute succulents or a hanging terrarium.
Baked Goods
This last idea is something everyone can enjoy and that’s FOOD! You can bake some cookies, brownies, mini pies or cakes, or even gift them some cake mix (mason jar + all dry ingredients). You could even make your own chocolate bars, wrap them in parchment paper with a cute ribbon and gift away! If the person doesn’t like sweets, you can give them mixed nuts, savory popcorn, or cured jams, bread, or meats.
