Christmas Gift Guide 2013: For Those Seeking Flawless Skin

I’m really enjoying creating these gift guides for you guys after getting past the hurdle of the first gift guide I did the other day { see that gift guide – HERE } as that one was really long, but hopefully fun and helpful! Today’s gift guide is focusing on those beauty lovers you may know {or you might be one of them!} who are obsessed with achieving perfectly primed, flawless skin on every level, both using makeup and fabulous skincare and are based on products I have tried, currently use, and know to be super effective at achieving great results. I hope you enjoy this slightly unconventional gift guide!

{From Left to Right, Top to Bottom} : Suti Cleanse Organic Balm, Alpha-H Liquid Gold, Antonia Burrell Cream Supreme, Pai Echium Eye Cream, May Lindstrom Problem Solver Face Mask, Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup Foundation, MAC Pro Longwear Blush in Baby Don’t Go, Diorshow Extase Mascara, & OCC Pro’s Picks Lip Tar Set

  • Suti Cleanse Organic Balm – This is probably my favorite facial cleansing balm because it’s so gentle and it calms everything from redness to acne, dry skin, and dullness. It’s so hydrating on the skin, but it doesn’t clog pores and it’s not heavy. It’s one of those balms that really can help any skin type and really gives skin results without being abrasive. It’s also formulated with all natural and organic ingredients so it’s perfect for literally anyone and it’s pricey enough to be gift level, but not too pricey where you feel like your wallet is slowly withering away. You can purchase this balm – HERE. See my full review – HERE.
  • Alpha-H Liquid Gold – This cult-status product from Alpha-H is definitely a winner! If you or someone you know suffers from dryness, dullness or sporadic breakouts, this will definitely help with all of the above. Although it’s not something you use daily (every 3rd day it’s used as a nightly treatment), this glycolic based toner really does help give your skin a glow. You can purchase this LG toner – HERE. See my full review – HERE.
  • Antonia Burrell Cream Supreme – This is the only naturally formulated face cream I’ve tried which actually helps treat blackheads as well as all kinds of breakouts, dullness, pigmentation and any other problem you might be having with your skin. You can purchase this cream – HERE. See my full review – HERE.
  • Pai Echium Eye Cream – This is, hands down, the best eye cream I’ve ever tried. It’s not heavy at all; it’s super light, but really hydrating. It’s not super scented and it doesn’t irritate my very sensitive eyes. I have an extremely dry eye area and I often peel in my inner corners if I don’t moisturizer properly, but on the flip side, I will get small little breakouts around my eyes if the eye cream is too heavy. This doesn’t do that. It’s amazing and perfect for any skin type, no matter how sensitive. You can purchase this cream – HERE. See my full review – HERE.
  • May Lindstrom Problem Solver Face Mask – If you have no other face mask, get this one! A lot of face masks are just clay based masks that work okay at clearing breakouts or whatever; this is different. Formulated with raw cacao and activated charcoal as well as numerous other herbs, spices and clays, this mask detoxes in a way that no other can. On top of that, it calms the skin and softens and refines skin texture in 15 minutes or less. The tingling sensation you’ll get from using this is kind of intense and I don’t recommend it for sensitive skin types, but if you can handle it, it’s amazing and your skin will show the results near instantaneously. You can purchase this mask – HERE. See my full review – HERE.
  • Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup Foundation – This is a slightly newer discovery from last month, but I don’t think I’ll ever go back because it’s that good. This foundation is formulated to be super hydrating and gives a semi-dewy, slightly satin finish while also fighting the signs of aging with cell-building peptide Matrixyl® and a number of other unique ingredients which work to firm, tighten, and give the skin a more youthful look overall. It’s also paraben, sulfate, phthalate, and fragrance free as well as vegan friendly. I love this foundation and I think any skin type would look great with it. You can purchase this foundation – HERE. See my full review – HERE.
  • MAC Pro Longwear Blush in Baby Don’t Go – I haven’t reviewed any MAC products, but it’s not because I don’t like them; I just think they’ve been reviewed to death so I’ve kind of passed over them. That being said, they have some of the most longlasting beautiful blushes around. Super pigmented so you’ll only need a little, these will last quite a long time. I really love this Pro Longwear Blush in Baby Don’t Go because it’s a peachy pink that will suit any and every skin tone. Also, you can pack on the color or lighten it up for a more natural look by using a stippling brush which is how I use it. It’s just lovely. You can purchase this blush – HERE.
  • Diorshow Extase Mascara – Ever since I received my sample of this one in a Birchbox like a year ago, I’ve been in love with this mascara! It has a really unique wand that is so easy to use to apply mascara like a dream. The black color in this is super pigmented and the unique wand separates lashes so you’ll look like you’re wearing falsies even when you’re not while also having tons of volume and minimal to no clumping! You can purchase this mascara – HERE. See my full review – HERE.
  • OCC Pro’s Picks Lip Tar Set – I haven’t reviewed OCC Lip Tars yet, but I promise I’ll make time because they’re my favorites for ultra pigmented lips! Though they are not the most natural, they are cruelty free and vegan so there’s that redeeming factor to them and the fact that you need literally 2 dots of pigment to fully cover your entire lip area! The colors are intensely pigmented, you can mix them to create custom lip shades and they last for hours once dry! These are amazing for beautiful lip colors that last all day long and look flawless and you can get a mini set at Sephora for $20! You can purchase this lip tar set – HERE. If you prefer a more natural lip, check out my second lip love – HERE.

thank you 🙂 I’m glad you think so. It really is amazing. Honestly I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t tried it myself first, but it really is that good
