Everything You Need With BOOM! by Cindy Joseph

Lately, it seems I’m all about all-in-one type products and these certainly fit the bill for great all purpose or multi-tasking type products, which I love!

A special thanks to the Boom! team for sending this awesome collection of products to me; they all have a special purpose for skincare AND natural beauty that is super easy for anyone to use.

If you’re unfamiliar, BOOM! is a modest and simple line of natural beauty products created by makeup artist, Cindy Joseph, as a way to allow women to look their best natural without chemicals and to let their natural beauty and confidence shine through. This line of products is one I think anyone can use without difficulty, no matter your level of makeup and skincare knowledge. The ingredients and applications are totally simple, natural and skin friendly.

First, the Boomsticks! GLO is a really great moisturizing stick that I have been carrying around in my purse. I like to apply it right before the COLOR stick because it gives me a nice sheen that looks more glowy than blush tint. The COLOR stick is great as a lip and cheek tint and GLIMMER, of course, is a nice bronze type color without being overly dark or shiny and there’s no glittery aftermath; just a nice shimmer. All of them work really well together to moisturize, highlight, lightly contour, and bronze and blush your cheeks in a way that looks really natural.

They are small enough to fit in your makeup bag which makes them super convenient for travel and they last a long time. I’ve been using them for several weeks now and they barely look used. My only qualm with these is that they are super moisturizing and creamy so they can be a bit much when it’s super extremely hot out like it has been lately (think over 100 degrees F) so if you’re really oily or oily to combination type, these work better when it’s cooler or at least below 90 degrees F.  Also, these are a little on the pricey side at $24 USD each, but they will last you.

The other part in this collection is the BOOMSilk moisturizer which really does work well as an all-in-one for body, face and hands. I’ve used it on my face with no problems, although it’s a bit too hydrating for my oily to combination skin in this weather. I’ve used it on my hands for fantastic moisturizing benefits, though it does take a bit to let it really sink into the skin and on my body, it’s extremely hydrating and not irritating at all. What I love about this moisturizer is the fact that the formula is so simple and it’s not scented so it doesn’t cause irritation of any kind. It’s the perfect kind of basic moisturizer for someone not looking for anything complicated, but that works really well anyway. It’s pricey, but again, a little goes a long way. It’s $32 USD for 4 Oz. and $48 for 8 Oz. of the BOOMSilk.

I got the “Color” one and didn’t thik it is anything special. It is actually rather awkward and difficult to apply to the lips, since it is so wide. After a certain age your lips get small wrinkles and this product “licks” through them making a mess. When you are over 50, it takes more than only bees’ wax to get you going! (I am one of those women who has very nice skin, by the way; I’m 53 and people think I’m 40.)

Hi Emilia! That’s a bust it didn’t work for you! If you want a nourishing balm for your lips, the Suvana Paw Paw and Honey Balm is amazing for moisture. Lipsticks – i love the ones from Karen Murrell. And if you want a super hydrating color stick, maybe you will enjoy the one by ILIA. You can find all my reviews for these on this blog by typing into the search bar. Hope this helps! You’re lucky to look young and beautiful btw! 🙂 i can only hope for the same!!
