3 Books For A Better Mindset

I’ve been reading quite a few self-help books lately so I thought I would share some of my top books for a better mindset with you guys. If you’re feeling down and out, if you’re dealing with pessimism and negativity, or if you simply want to smile and feel a little better about life, these are definitely worth a look!

you are a badass book

You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero

This is the first book I read of these and it was AWESOME. The book basically discusses how we are limiting ourselves by our own beliefs (about ourselves) and how we can change our thinking to live our best lives now. Jen Sincero has a way of making you feel optimistic and empowered without patronizing readers and that’s what really stands out for me with this book. I love how fun and energetic her words are and I love that she gives you clear, actionable steps and exercises to do that can help you live your most awesome life. I also really enjoyed the stories she shared about her own life and how her practices helped turn her life around. Also, she’s really fun(ny) so it was such an easy read. This is a great book to read if you enjoy self-help, but don’t want anything too technical or wordy. It’s incredibly easy to get through.

wellth book

Wellth: How I Learned to Build A Life Not A Resumé by Jason Wachob

(founder of MindBodyGreen)

I really loved reading this book penned by the founder of MindBodyGreen! It was such an insightful an thoughtful read from someone who just sort of fell into a passion for healthy living and found a happy life along the way. I love that he discusses his personal struggles, the journey to creating his website, and living the life he wanted to create as opposed to the life he was living before. That struggle is something we are all experienced or have experienced and it was so easy to relate to which really touched me. It’s a bit more on the wordy side of things, but still a great book and worth reading, especially if you are on an unconventional path in life or want to be.

*Please Note: I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.

Cured by Nature Book

Cured by Nature by Tara Mackey

(blogger at The Organic Life Blog)

I really loved this book because I actually know Tara! It was a strange sort of experience to read about Tara’s childhood and experiences growing up. I felt like I was somehow intruding on her own thoughts, at some points, and it was a bit odd, but nonetheless moving. To see what Tara has gone through, overcome, and all she has accomplished is nothing short of miraculous and wondrous. I love how she truly promotes love, light, and happiness and living your dreams. This was a second favorite out of these 3 reads! Definitely a must-read if you’re a green beauty enthusiast!
