Grateful November: Beauty Brands that Give Back
While researching for this post, I had SO MANY people and brands reach out to tell me about all the ways their beauty brands that give back. It was so incredible! I am just filled with gratitude that despite so much hatred and tyranny in the world today, these brands are putting out only kindness, love, and positive vibes.
Since so many brands reached out, including many that I’ve never tried before, I thought I would share 2 lists.
The first list is a collection of green beauty brands that give back which I’ve personally tried. The second list at the bottom is a list of brands I’ve never tried, but who are also doing some amazing things within their community.
Leakey Collection: Marula Beauty
Marula Beauty is a wonderful brand which sells luxury skincare products using hero ingredient, marula oil. They source the marula from Africa. There, it’s sourced using sustainable practices by local African women. They offer jobs and enable these women to build up their local economy, support their families, and offer enrichment programs to help the community.
Kahina Giving Beauty
Kahina Giving Beauty helps local women in Morocco to sustain an income for their families through the sustainable sourcing of their hero ingredient – argan oil. This unique oil is the driving force behind all of their products. They are consistently presenting new projects that help benefit local Moroccan women through the sale of their fantastic skincare products.
Zyderma
Zyderma sells an awesome natural acne cream that I’ve mentioned many times before and they also help support the Sundara Fund, an organization that helps recycle soaps the beauty industry throws away so that they can be used in developing countries. They employ locals, especially women, in these countries to help distribute their soaps and teach community education on hygienic practices.

MAHALO Skincare is one of my favorite organic beauty brands around and with good reason! Their products are all natural, effective, and packaged in eco-friendly glass and bamboo containers. They recently released the Red My Lips Tint, a gorgeously pigmented red lip color that was inspired by the Red My Lips organization.
20% of each sale of this lip tint goes towards spreading awareness for those affected by sexual violence and helping rehabilitate their lives.

Hynt Beauty create wonderful natural cosmetics and donates to various local cancer charities. They have done many wonderful campaigns involving helping out women with breast cancer feel more confident and more!
American Botanics
I’ve not tried too much from American Botanics, but I have tried their lovely deodorant from my GoodBeing beauty box which I seriously LOVED. It was smooth, didn’t irritate my ridiculously sensitive under arms, and smelled lovely. Moreover, American Botanics donates to melanoma research. How dope is that?
